Texacan brought up a good point... Jehovah Witnesses teach that doctrine. That might be where she got that idea.

I have used that analogy for decades in teaching kids how to reach Heaven. It is odd that an 8 year old can grasp the concept, but an educated adult will shrug it off as mythology.

I had a Minister that used to preach on the difference between a 'pre millennialist and a pan millennialist. He did not argue for one or the other. He said he was a PAN millennialist. Whatever God decided to do, it would all pan out in the end.
