Don Bongino would be a great asset to getting the word out there about the real agenda behind this administrations "people control".

I understand he ran for US Senate in MD during the last election and did well against Ben Cardin.
Do not know what he is doing now.
Oh, not sure, rumor has it he was on Obama's protection detail before leaving Secret Service

Yes, he was the lead agent on the obama detail. He excelled in every stage of training for the Secret Service. He was also chosen to be the Agent in charge of the advanced security detail for obama. I believe he and his wife have started some sort of business. I know one thing for sure, I'd vote for him.
Been saying that for years. Nice to know I'm not alone.

AuntiE, I believe his is thinking about running in 2014 for Gov. of Maryland.
The role of government is to regulate. One of the most visible manifestations of this regulation is the police who try to prevent crimes of violence and enforce things like traffic laws. There are things other than car traffic that needs to be regulated and for them we have different kinds of "police". For example, we have the FAA to regulate airplane traffic and the FDA that regulates the drug industry. History has shown that these industries need this type of policing so that they do less harm to the public.
So, yes, Obama and every other President and legislator who has ever served is about controlling peoples actions. Some individuals think that not being able to do as they damn well please means that the government is attacking their liberties. This is a self-centered view. The government is not trying to limit your ability to do something the government is trying to prevent the other SOB from doing something bad to you. Sometimes, you are the other SOB and that's when the regulations help. Most of the people who were involved in mass shootings were law abiding citizens until that first shot killed that first other person. The purpose of gun control is to try to make sure that law abiding citizens remain law abiding.

Zonker, I think he missed something: to regulate in accordance with the will of the people and always within the limitations of the Constitution of these United States.

And the Constitution of these United States states "shall not be infringed".
If per chance you missed my personal forum some weeks ago relating to the 2nd Amendment please do seek it out. It is called "The Second Amendment Then (1791) The Second Amendment Now (2013).

And let's face it. The constitution is plainly written and restrictive. The states have the right to override and restrict the feds (10th). Not applied often, but it will be. Our friends in DC have accrued a lot of power. I used to think Marbury v. Madison was helpful. I'm not so sure. You hear Alito (conservative) say 'Is it moral?' That's not his job. The question is 'Is it constitutional?' and the 4 moonbats up there on that bench are worse.
I've tried to write this post 3 times. My wireless is sketchy. This post gets shorter and less well conceived every time. And homophones have not been my friend that last couple of days. Please forgive any error.

Thank you, always appreciate more information.

If I hadn't read this thread from start to your post I would have wondered what the topic was. You wanted to convince people that government control is so very necessary but I didn't see you talk much about gun control compared to what it really is, people control. Did you watch the introductory link before you wrote? It doesn't seem that you did.
