What kind of a country are we where those in power think they can ignore strong indicators they are not paying attention to what people want?

Kansas, conservative Kansas shot down the idea of banning abortions, this is what happens when people speak with their votes.

And why is it that legislatures in power choose to ignore what the people in their state want even though their own party says they approve of the right to choose abortions by 60%, and dems are 80%?

Republicans have long said that their people are too stupid to understand or know what is best for them, that is their job to decide for them.

By your reasoning there should still be slavery in parts of the land and separate but equal would still be the law. Why are you against letting the people of each state decide? That is the GOP position but Democrats want to force their position on everyone.

I cannot understand how some Americans do not want better health care, better infrastructure, loan forgiveness, Medicare and Social Security for other Americans. They have no problem with cutting taxes for the very rich, taking a woman's choice away, and banning books. Could it be that they have such little control of their own lives, they feel entitled to deny other people of benefits provided by the government? Such people will praise the lord, while being mean to others.

And some Americans look for handouts from the government, have a sense of entitlement, do their own book banning, try to control speech and show a disdain for innocent life by killing for convenience. They champion depravity. Some also can’t seem to grasp that both parties are owned by the rich.

So many of you just don’t get that the problem is both parties.

We are supposed to be a Republic not a Democracy, like a lynch mob, where the majority rules. In full disclosure, we are no longer a Republic or a Democracy we are ruled, not governed, by a despotic Marxist Administration, camouflaged as Democrats, but approaching the despotism of the old Soviet Union. Those are fake patriots, fake christians, they do not know what it is to be a patriot or a christian, their idea of being a christian is that they are human and god forgives their ugliness and hatred, after all they are not perfect.
