PHILADELPHIA father demands explanation of seal team six deaths!

Charlie Strange, of Philadelphia, is trying to repair a piece of his heart. He, along with more than a dozen other families, are coming together in October to remember SEAL Team Six, who successfully completed May 2, 2011 the mission to find and kill Osama bin Laden, the mastermind behind the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Three months later, SEAL Team Six was “ambushed,” Strange said, in Afghanistan during Mission Extortion 17, killing all the members of the team, including his 25 year-old son Michael. Extortion 17 was a call to rescue Army Rangers in Afghanistan.

“Michael was everybody’s best friend,” Strange said. “I want the world to know that he was a genuine guy. He was loyal. He always helped the underdog. And, he was the guy, if he met ya, he would have swept you off your feet.”

A proud father, Charlie can rattle off a list of Michael’s accomplishments and accolades as quickly as any proud father could do. He said his son, who was a Navy cryptologist, entered the military to prevent another 9/11, or a Boston Bombing incident. As he talks, the devastation, though, slowly finds its way back into his voice when he faces the realization that his son was murdered in the largest loss of American life in a single incident in the Afghan War.

The shock came from his daughter in a phone call, who told Strange the news that his son – along with soldiers in elite Special Operations units; 16 Navy SEALS, which includes SEAL Team Six – was killed by a rocket-propelled grenade. The grenade that destroyed the Chinook helicopter, Strange said, burned all the bodies beyond recognition. Strange, though, said information collected from the investigation contradicts what the U.S. military told him.

Prior to the May 2, 2011 raid of Osama bin Laden’s compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, Strange said Michael let him know that he was “going off the grid.” According to a timeline Strange put together, Michael called April 20, 2011, and said, “Dad, I just want you to know, you won’t be able to call, text message or e-mail me for a few weeks, you’ll soon know why.”

The raid happened May 2, 2011. The next day, Strange said, Vice President Joe Biden “divulged top-secret, classified information in his speech during an awards dinner at the Ritz Carlton, that it was SEAL Team Six who did the Osama bin Laden raid, and goes as far as giving the name of the SEAL Commander.”

The unraveling of classified information, Strange said, continued throughout May. For his 25th birthday in June, Michael came home, and Strange said he noticed a difference in his son’s demeanor. He said he was more affectionate than usual, as well, he had mentioned establishing a will, something Strange said his son had never mentioned in the eight years Michael was in the Navy.

Then the day that broke Strange’s heart happened, when his son was sent on a mission August 6, 2011, in which the Taliban retaliated. Strange read the more than 1,300 pages of investigative information specifically detailing Extortion 17 provided to him and his wife by Brigadier General Jeffrey Colt. He still waits for his answers.

Why did they fly in a 1960 CH-47 Chinook that was refurbished in 1985?
Who made the call for all 38 to go on one helicopter?
Why were Standard Operating Procedures not followed?
The Tangi Valley is known to be the “Taliban Stronghold,” why land them there when it had never been done?
Night vision goggles weren’t working for our troops, but they worked for the Taliban?
Strange found a photo of his son, whose body he said was not burned, yet, the government said all bodies were burned beyond recognition, essentially cremated. The pain Strange feels every day is unforgettable, he said. The National Security Agency (NSA) tracks his communications, but the overwhelming loss of his son is greater than a government agency, and their half-truths.

“What more are they going to do to me,” Strange said, “they killed my son.”

He admits to not being a conspiracy theorist, or an alarmist, but a man who wants answers, and healing. He established the Michael Strange Foundation in honor of his son, and speaks publicly as often as he can to share his tragic story.

“At this point, we need to help five families get to New Jersey in October,” Strange said.

The facts of Extortion 17 do not add up for Strange. He struggles to embrace joy. And, the only way he said he thinks he will be able to attain it again is by achieving answers to his questions.

These folks deserve closure for our fallen heroes.

Unless there is a change in the Oval Office nothing will come out.

When there is a change all the documents will have been destroyed.
