An interesting look at capitalism, free markets, and a conservative business model.

Was there supposed to be something sensational or scandalous exposed by this "mole"? If that is the case I missed it. However it was interesting how things supposedly work and how management manages things at Fox.

I rely less and less on any of the TV or cable news operations and their slant on the news of the day, hour or minute. All things in this country have been corrupted to one extent or another to the point of who can you trust.

The other thing interesting is how the left absolutely hate Fox and Fox is no more biased that the MSM, it's just Fox's bias is more to the center or slightly to the right. But it drives the Marxists on this site and across the county up a wall.

Anyone who thinks they gained inforation from this article about anything, let alone capitalism, free markets or any business model is not a fan of real information.

Either written by a useful idiot or meant to let other useful idiots think they have been provided with information.

I thought the observation of FOX being like the sun and planets, quite interesting and informative. More because it tells me liberal organizations don't function in this manner.

I too think it was a little light on free markets or a conservative business model, it seemed a little more tilted toward a very skimpy view of how Fox is managed and how O Rielly operates. That said, the fact that Fox has been so successful is a fine example of capitalism at work.

I don't know why this posted twice, sorry.

I would bet any amount of money that neither you or any of the liberal trolls on Salon could name one lie Fox has told. Please no conjecture, let's try facts for a change. This article doesn't say anything that I see as bad or isn't simply good business practice. Do you think Zucker isn't controlling every aspect of CNN or NBC "news" isn't parroting everything the news room president's brother, who works in the White House, is telling them to say? How about some balance Libs.

Asking for balance from libs is as fruitless as asking for logic from them

I don't like O'Reilly all the time. If you want to know why, go here.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5qU4qudJYk

It seems telling. Not that I disagree him on a lot of things. I wish he'd lay off of my video games. I don't think sacrificing the 1st amendment for the 2nd defeats the purpose of the 2nd. Free expression is a wide net... for now.

Fox serves a demographic. This marketshare gives people w/ a particular perspective a place to view the news that matters to them. After all, Salon is certainly guilty of that (Leaving out details that don't fit their narrative). I subscribe. I hate them, but Know Thy Enemy and all that. I'm not generally in good enough of a mood to read them. Sometimes, I do.

When all is said and done, I'm just glad that there's a place for John Stossel to get his message out.

I thought I was Salon's only stealth subscriber. A nest of liberal vipers, for sure. But I do read them now and then, whenever I can stomach the taste of arrogant dismissal of any and all things conservative that is.

Dave, you are stupid.

The observations of the writer were that titles don't matter in a conservative business model, generating revenue does. Nielsen ratings determine advertising prices that is how Fox news makes money. The concern of those with, I believe he called it "juice," is making money for the company. The conservative business model's bottom line is money. Why does anyone work, except to make money.

I gained information from the article. And I think you are too stupid to glean information from the article.

Interesting point of view from the communists. Wonder how they would react from a similar report of their commentators?

If you learned that any business model has generating revenue as the top priority, you learned because you started from a base of unbelievable ignorance.

I saw so little in that article other than an attack of O'Reilly and how his show is run. I don't think I gained anything there but I did read the thing in a quick run through type of reading that I usually reserve for Salon and others of the left lean blogs. Maybe I just went too fast.
