This is absolutely sick. I thought that we had laws that prevented out military from ever be subject to the command of other militaries, etc. That our flag is never flown lower then any other flag. Our military pledge allegiance to America, and our flag, and our Constitution. Not NATO. As such they should not be subject to this NATO command and our territory, especially a military base, should never be subject to the authority of non Americans. This is about the worst thing that our government could do and has done so far. If I was still in the Navy, I would consider refusing to serve this entity to the point of the brig and dishonorable discharge. It would be the Honorable thing to do for America.

I agree. My brother who is Navy (1973-1979) feels the same. I couldn't believe we gave them the naval base last year.
I also thought, tho maybe my memory isnt as good about this, learning that foreign entities could not buy swaths of US land. Yet we're selling thousands of acres of farmland to China. So much for ANY sovereignty ðŸ˜
