Some Schools and Teachers Are Promoting Abortion and Sexual Alternatives

WASHINGTON, DC, June 20 — Students at a progressive school in Seattle, WA are being asked to sign a pledge in support of abortion in order to join a mentoring program, according to a KTTH news report. Meanwhile, a Las Vegas, NV high school student, Felipe Avila, VP of his school’s Students For Life [SFL] chapter, has been forced to file an official complaint charging he and his SFL organization have “been the target of repeated discrimination” at his school for their pro-life views. And, last year, a medical student at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Austin Clark, filed a suit accusing the school of discriminating against him over his pro-life activism.

And so this terrible behavior continues as the baby killers double down on so-called abortion rights in advance of the expected Supreme Court decision to repeal the 50 year old Roe vs Wade decision that legitimized abortion in the U.S. One can only wonder how many teachers in schools across the nation are using their bully pulpits to indoctrinate the next generations of Americans to embrace Leftist ideologies such as abortion.

Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America network, says the fight for life dates back more than a century, noting that Susan B. Anthony’s newspaper, the Revolution, condemned the practice and supported the criminalization of doctors who profited from it. In a recent Opinion article published in Newsweek magazine, Dannenfelser quotes a descendent of Ms. Anthony, Eric Anthony, who co-authored an article several years ago in which he stated: “the unifying theme of Susan Brownell Anthony’s life was to speak up for those without a voice. Anthony fought for temperance, the abolition of slavery and especially the enfranchisement of women. She also spoke up for the voiceless child in utero, opposing Restellism, the term that Anthony’s newspaper and others at that time used for abortion.”

Anthony was unabashed about her opposition to the practice of killing babies in the womb. Dannenfelser wrote that Ms. Anthony “spoke most directly about abortion in a famous speech, identifying abortion and infanticide as social evils stemming from the drunkenness of men and oppression of women: ‘the prosecutions on our courts for breach of promise, divorce, adultery, bigamy, seduction, rape; the newspaper reports every day of every year of scandals and outrages, of wife murders and paramour shooting, of abortions and infanticides, are perpetual reminders of men’s incapacity to cope successfully with this monster evil of society’.”

This time around progressives have enlarged their attack on what was once called the American way of life. Not satisfied by endorsing the murder of unborn children, they have been targeting our kids in an effort to legitimize and promote what used to be called immoral acts.

If you haven’t heard the term “trans closets,” it refers to a new classroom assault on our kids. It’s shorthand for Gender Transition Closets that have been popping up in schools in California and elsewhere. The closets contain transgender clothing and accessories for students. Kids who want to experiment behind the backs of their parents can go in the closet, dress up when they get to school and change back into their own clothing when it’s time to go home. The Epoch Times quotes a school teacher admitting that “The goal of the transition closet is for our students to wear the clothes that their parents approve of, come to school, and then swap out into the clothes that fit who they truly are.” It’s a way to promote a transgender lifestyle.

According to the Epoch Times, the California Family Council says, “This is [an] example of the deceit schools are deliberately using to carry out a growing transgender movement in public schools behind the backs of parents.”

Not all schools have given in to the progressive Left, but a result of their intrusion is that more and more families are deciding to school their kids at home. The website, Law Enforcement Today, says “Increasing numbers of parents are starting to see public schools for what they are—indoctrination factories attempting to undermine parents and brainwash kids to hate their country, breed gender confusion, and believe they are racist (or oppressed) dependent on their skin color…This is why an increasing number of families are pulling their kids out of school and choosing to homeschool.”
