1) Democrats aren't trying to abort anything or force it on anyone...what you do with your body isn't our business.
2) Democrats believe the right to control your body shouldn't stop with men or be controlled by the government. Ironically, this is how "anti-government" Conservative's belief.
3) Democrats believe the right to control your body shouldn't be subjected to the beliefs of a single ideology or anyone or many theologies. Again, this is how you Conservative Republicans believe.
4) And since Uvalde proves that you Conservatives Republicans don't give an F about the life of a child why should this country base policy on your political whims?

1) Abortion is a unique situation where two beings are temporally sharing one body but only one has their own voice. Should the one with no ability to speak be totally ignored because they can't speak for themselves.

We are Endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights,

Only the creator can do that.

In spite of the health and wishes of the mother, the most important consideration
is the health, the rights, and the life of an unborn child.

There are plenty of proven methods to prevent a pregnancy,
there is no excuse for women whose morals may be highly questionable,
to not take steps to prevent an unwanted pregnancy.

As I noted in another thread on the SCOTUS decision,
there is a moral basis for all the decisions we make,
and if that moral basis is fluid, ungrounded, subjective, or otherwise changeable,
any decision we make will be corrupted.
And as with all decisions, there are consequences.

When I was in high school, 1972, the year of the Roe v. Wade debacle, the biology course information concerning human pre natal development consisted of a couple paragraphs and a poorly drawn graphic of embryos of a fish, a chicken and a human. The point was to show how similar those embryos are to each other. The science of genetics was in its infancy and not well known. It wasn't hard to believe that a fetus wasn't a baby until ???

It seems as though pro choice people are living in the past of 50 years ago and are willfully ignorant of modern science.
