When people break the law and violate the norms of government it is necessary to "go after" them to keep it from happening again.

Remember that as you see dems "going after" trump for things he did...it's not about dems going after him it's about whether he did what they are charging him with, it's about the proof, it's about whether trump did things he knew were wrong because he thought he could get away with anything he wanted to do.

Trump knew perfectly well that the rhetoric about the election being stolen was a lie...and that makes everything done on the pretext that fraud had occurred was a crime...a violation of the law.

TexaCan, The only reason why Trump is out there is because the Republican Party protects him. He was the only POTUS that has been impeached by the House TWICE. Everybody that has watched the Jan Sixth Committee meetings on television has seen tons of irrefutable evidence from Trumps political campaign, high administration officials, Republican state election officials, close advisers, and even Ivanka Trump all gave evidence of conspiracy to commit seditious insurrection. The only question is whether the DOJ will press charges against him.
