Compromise

When Republicans were in control of the government, we constantly heard Democrats complaining that Republicans need to compromise with whatever radical proposals the Dems came up with.

Now that the Dems are in control, we constanly hear that anybody who opposes anything they want is a multi-phobic, treasonous domestic terrorist. Compromise is out of the question.

Funny how that works.

Dems want to rule without any interference. Period. The word "compromise" is not in their vocabulary. It was replaced during obama's reign of error with "mywayorthehighway."

Democrats definition of compromise has always been Republicans caving in and giving them what they want.

The word compromise is front and center in their vocabulary when they're not in the majority. When they are in the majority then it's mywayorthehighway. We're still experiencing Obama's reign of error, this is his third term.

Exactly. Their idea of compromise is too pack the court because they can’t get their way.

I remember Rush Limbaugh saying many times that there is no compromise with the left, no "crossing the aisle",
or making deals, rather they must be defeated and their tyrannical anti-American agenda destroyed.

I would say that when the dems are in the majority what they expect from republicans is not "compromise" but "capitulation." And you are absolutely correct that this is bo's third term. He gets to force his extremist agenda upon us in an attempt to "transform" OUR country into something we don't recognize without having to take the criticism or the heat ... that's what slojo is for.

That's because, for 100 years, the Republicans always caved in and gave them what they wanted. Republicans growing a pair, as small as they are, upset the status quo.

Yup. That and trying to get rid of the filibuster. Break/change the rules any way they need to so they can get their way. When the whole reason those rules are in place is to make certain ALL citizens are represented in our government. They don't have a mandate. They were not handed a supermajority. They barely have a majority at all and they should understand what that means. Compromise is an important part of governing. But they will not hear of giving an inch. Bo led the way ignoring any voice but his own. He is continuing with that same arrogant stance on everything now with his sock puppet.

What is beyond disgusting is the Republicans for the most part have accepted that definition, and do just that.
