It was one of his best moments ever, and that's saying a lot. For those who missed it, try to find it on Youtube or wherever, but if you have something negative to say, don't bother until you have heard the entire speech. Because if you do, you will prove once and for all that you are an fool and not worthy of a response.

I liked that he mentioned mental health challenges.

These shootings are a long time in the making. People were disturbed by his behaviour.

If there was more mental health resources a risk assessment could have been conducted.

"The shootings are a long time in the making?" How? Why? "People are disturbed by his behavior?" Disturbed? How about absolutely outraged, incensed, mad as hell, and broken-hearted. My heart breaks for these children and teachers and their families and friends who will forever be affected by this.

You want more mental health resources available. All the psychiatrists following the Yale psychiatrist couldn't make an accurate diagnosis of Donald Trump and had to politicize it.
I think you need a mental health assessment. Maybe you've already had one. It's easy to fool people. How long does one need to spend with a mental health professional for them to make a judgment? The solution will be a multi-pronged attack that involves many complicated issues and solutions, and none of them will be perfect. The demagogues are already calling for more gun control. This involves much more than just gun control and mental health risk assessments. We have law after law that is ignored and not enforced. 48,000 felons and others were ineligible to purchase a firearm in one year. Trying to purchase one is a felony under the law. How many were prosecuted? 44! That is less than 1 in 1000. Appalling.

The NRA spent more than $30 million on Trump's 2016 presidential campaign. Hoping for continued support, Trump took the opportunity to deliver yet another political campaign speech at the NRA Convention. After reading the names of the 21 victims of the Texas mass shooting and praising the NRA, Trump ended his little speech with his signature clenched fists and "cha-cha-cha" dance move. I hope the survivors of the Taxes massacre missed his disgusting, joyful display of mourning.

I would like to see my "Taxes" massacred, but alas, we have massive inflation with the incompetent green energy boob Biden occupying the white house.

Trump's speech was very good -not like Biden's speech that was political, bitter, divisive and offered no real solutions.

He said and did everything right and ended on a positive note. If you think that is the voice of an idiot I suggest that you listen to Bidens horrible speech where he did absolutely NOTHING right.

I don't remember which president shut down all the mental institutes and said there was no reason for them. We are now seeing the reason. Many families have begged for help or somewhere to put a family member that was a danger to themselves and the public and they were unable to care for them or they were also victims of abuse by the family member. I'm sure that there are a great many sitting in prison for violent crimes that could have been avoided. Many of these shooters have red flags waving like crazy yet they still walk around and go kill even though the authorities know they're dangerous. The first shooter had been in the hospital for evaluation because he kept talking about killing at school,on line the FBI was watching him all this while he was 17 but stopped once he turned 18 everyone of these institutes should have reported him and put him in the system but they didn't so when he turned 18 he was able to buy guns for which he PASSED A BACKGROUND CHECK not once but I think 3 times. So whos to blame the Gun? The School? The FBI? Or the Hospital? If the proper authorities had done their job he would never have gotten the gun to begin with

He has been troubled his whole life. He exhibited lots of anti social behaviours.

The why I do not know.

Lots of his acquaintances were disturbed by him and knew he was a risk

Yet they failed to report him. They turned and looked the other way. That's the problem with society as a whole. Nobody really gives a crap about those experiencing mental health issues until we see a tragic mass shooting, and then mental health is brought up again. Sensitive issue? You bet! Recognizing the warning signs? Identify and amplify! When innocent lives are at stake we must take everything into consideration.
