If A Signature Is Flagged As A Problem Shouldn't Verifying It As Legitimate Be The End Of The Disqualification?

The matter of signature matches on ballots has different ways it's being handled, and to give a process legitimacy there has to be a remedy for verifying a signature red flag. Some states contact the person, and they get a chance to prove they are legitimate and this is their signature...this is as it should be, this is supposed to be about catching illegitimate voters, not eliminating people on technicalities.

Yet we are seeing close races, recently for the signatures needed to allow someone to run, they needed 100 signatures each in something like 27 counties. One that was down to a signature that was flagged identified the person as a veteran business owner that was flagged, they were able to find who's signature was flagged, verify he was legitimate, and that he had in fact signed for this candidate. Yet republicans still fought to have his signature cancelled on the technicality that flagged it.

This signature matching is being used to cancel legitimate people's votes, and that is not the purpose for it.

One way to repair this is for everyone to vote in person and have proper ID . When you have 1000 mules delivering 100000 ballots you are asking for trouble ...BIG TROUBLE

Simple solution: Valid photo ID to register to vote and valid photo ID when voting.

Problem solved

The left does the same so knock off your hate BS.

Let me give you a good example. In Illinois. a college kid decided to run against a well known Democrat. He worked hard for all of the signatures and then some to get on the ballot. Then the democrats went around to all those in the area and asked them to disavow there signatures that were on those petitions. They had twice as many signatures disavowing their original signature then were ever on the original petitions. Fortunately, after matching, he still had enough.

Of course this same democrat politician would get petitions signed for several people to pose as Republicans, and with similar names or ethnicity as the legitimate Republican on the ballot. Hoping that one of these phonies would win the Republican primary. They also never campaigned. Just tried to confuse the voters. This was from a guy who would normally get 70% or more of the votes in the general election and still had to cheat the system.

So, I really don't need to hear your little petty B. S, I've seen it in Chicago and I know crooked elections when I see them.
