I have a friend here in El Dorado County that had a car repair garage in El Dorado, great corner location that I go by every time I go to or from the house. He has always been involved in local politics at county supervisor type level, so his garage is a gossip hangout, there are usually a few people flapping their gums. When trump was running he would introduce me as a liberal that voted for Hillary, and he'd tell people he's a good guy though, he's really a misguided republican, he thinks like us about a lot of things, he'd say "he's packing" as proof.
A lot of the guys just accepted me because I was friends with George, figured if he liked me I must be alright...but it used to blow me away the guys that would give me the stink eye and act like I was the enemy. I told George to stop telling people I voted for Hillary, he was going to get someone shot.
