OPP Is Better Than Twitter

The time I spend on OPP is precious time taken away from my daily duties.

So when I actually have time to waste on social media, I prefer to hang out here with you wonderful Goobers.

The other more popular platforms have millions of users but they also have censorship and restrictions.

For instance, my opinions in regard to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine would likely get me banned from Twitter and Facebook.

But here I am free to express my approval of Mr Putin without being suspended.

OPP does have it's own rules but as long as you don't directly threaten or insult a user you're pretty much free to speak your mind.

And if you pay attention, there are a few very interesting individuals who frequent this site.

So when I'm hanging out here I kinda think of you Goobers as my extended family.

Of course some of you Goobers are like the kinfolks you don't publicly admit to being kin to.

But I get a kick out of interacting with all of you folks.

And I wish everyone of you............... Happy Trails.

Your points are well taken. Another point is that we are a smaller group. Putting out a post and getting 1 or 30 responses is better the 1000 responses and the thread being hi jacked beyond anything meaningful. It actually allows for a better discussion. Of course I'm just guessing here. I have never been on that other B. S.

The thing that people don't seem to get is that sites that boot people because they don't like their opinions are boring, it's dull to hear everyone parroting the same things...the key is not sinking to all out flaming insults and names...I know what you are saying about fitting in some time, in fact I have to go get another truck load of shredded cedar bark for the bull's pen

Y'all think I'm a liberal, but I got booted from Daily KOS, the liberals hated an objective point of view about their politically correct stupidity. It flipped them out when I always had multiple topics on their recommended list, they would whine and cry about how they never got recommended why were my topics always up.

I have to admit I agree with you. Funny, just don't call someone the R or I word. Lol, I guess you can't tell someone they're insert ...S.... word. OPP is interesting, just about all the comments are fun to read. Thanks wolf man, great comment, really great. Btw, I was unaware you can't say those things on Twitter. Guess they'll be some big changes for Twitter down the pike.

We should all be able to express preferences and occasionally get into discussions about them.

Who is more likely to want a dictatorship? The other side. Both sides think that it is the other side that wants total control.
