The industry has thousands of drilled wells that need to be taken to completion, meaning investments made in pumps and pumping infrastructure, one of the companies has several thousand and they defend their choice to invest profits in buybacks rather than pumping.

They are making an intentional decision to make more with less, they call it quality over quantity. What that means is profits over volume. From a business standpoint why not make more money producing less if nobody stops you from doing it?

And given the current admin's attitude toward fossil fuels, who in their right mind would invest in drilling??

I have been trying to hire someone , for higher than union wage , to do some work around the house . I have spoken with eight people about this , five promised to start 3 months ago and never showed . People have become VERY lazy
