Whatever side you are on in this issue, please read the FACTS called out in this editorial. Voter fraud is statistically non-existent; the issue is a created one by the Republican party in an effort to suppress voter turn-out.

Once again, I want to point out how, rather than addressing the facts presented in the OP-ed piece, sweetlips nonchalantly dismisses the writing based on its source. Weak.

NYT? Thanks for warning me sweetlips. You saved me a click and some wasted time.

The NYT, you might as well click on Vox or Salon.

Funny, I saw nothing of the pole worker in Ohio that voted up to eight times.
I guess it is too much to ask that someone proves they are who they say they are, considering in most states you must have a state ID on you at all times when in public. Personally, I don't really care either way about the IDs, but to say theres no Voter Fraud, would be a bold face lie, from either party.

Conservatives cannot fathom that Obama won the second time by a million votes. Next time would be UFO's.

That really comes down to a credibility issue, you can't blame her or him for not buying into "bought and paid" for propaganda rag newspaper articles.
Might want to check relationship/marriage status of employees of the NYT to democratic leaders, you might be suprized.
There are repercussions to flat out lieing to the American people, as we will see in November.

Waker - I absolutely agree that credibility can be called into issue, but I require facts rather than cursory dismissal.

I also want to call out that I disagree with your Latin signature. I'd rather leverage Andrew Carnegie's rebuttal:

"These vast armaments on land and water are being defended as a means, not to wage war, but to prevent war.... there is a safer way ... it requires only the consent and the good-will of the governments. Today they say .... If you want peace, prepare for war. This Congress says in behalf of the people: Si vis pacem, para pactum, if you want peace, agree to keep the peace."

Springup, please provide specifics. No one is saying voter fraud 100% never happens. Rather that it is so infrequent that it is, from a statistical perspective, non existent. And considering the ease with which fake IDs can be procured (ask any teenager looking for beer) the laws will do little to correct any fraud that is purposefully perpetrated.

Ah, but that doesn't amount to anything. I mean just because there is 120% voter turn out doesn't mean there is voter fraud, or just because 100% of the vote went to Obama doesn't mean there is voter fraud. Or how about buses bringing in people from somewhere that can't even speak English? Hay, who says that you have to speak English to become a citizen. And how about all those wetbacks that vote? Don't they get to have a say in our government too? I mean after all, we are paying them. Or how about those that vote in two or three states. Can't ever vote to much. I mean, they are super patriotic after all. And then there are the machines that vote for Obama even if you push the other button. Patriotic machines???? Naw, there isn't any voter fraud, just patriotic people and machines. I mean you have to really be patriotic to vote after you are dead.

Si vis pacem : If you seek peace,
As I am a seeker, and this congress is a joke.
Does one really keep peace as you say these CFR ran politicians do, while they poke at your rights w/ a stick and use media to push propaganda on its own citizens, at they're own expense mind you (Smith-Mundt Act repealed w/ the passing of the defence budget last January)
Monitor and attack anyone who speaks out about they're atrocities, right violations, and scare tactics
"Bellum" they will bring upon themselves through greed. Eric Holder knew it and said "it keeps him up at night" as it should.
