BREAKING: Senate passes bill making daylight savings time permanent and there’s a good chance this could become law…

Mar. 15, 2022 6:12 pm by The Right Scoop

The Senate just passed a bill from Marco Rubio making daylight savings time permanent. Normally I wouldn’t look twice at something like this because it would normally go nowhere.

But the Senate passed it by unanimous consent, meaning no one objected, which is a strong sign it could pass the House.

And if it passes the House by unanimous consent or even by a super majority vote, then Joe Biden no longer matters. Because even if he were to veto it, they could just override his veto easily.

Here’s the full video from Rubio:

If the bill does pass the House, it won’t be implemented until next year according to Rubio:

I’ve never really had an opinion on this but I do love daylight savings and I think I would love for this to be permanent.

I'm not sure if I would like daylight savings time or regular time permanent. I think it would be good to not have to change our clocks twice a year at any rate. When I was in the 3rd. or 4th. grade, we were told daylight savings time was for the farmers, the sun would come up an hour later so they could spend more time in the fields in the evening. But when you think about it, there's still the same amount of daylight whichever way they go.

There, I fixed it.

That's not right?? Maybe it was more daylight later in the evening. Now I'm confused.

With all of the various crises that going on under this administration, why in the hell are the even thinking about this at all? Personally, I really dont understand why this issue would even be an issue. Can someone please explain to me the actual relevance of doing this? What is the big deal with turning our clocks back or forward? I never understood the big deal about it.

I would L O V E more daylight!!!!! As an insomniac, my days begin later, hence more daylight being a gargantuan benefit for me.

To me, it is all stupid. First of all, all time is based on Greenwich Mean Time in England. Making daylight saving time permanent means we will always be an hour off of Greenwich Mean Time. This is where all the world sets its time from.

No matter whether you change the time or don't, there is no one second more or less sunlight.

It would be far easier for companies and schools to set there starting times ahead or back with the seasons. Does it matter whether you start at 8am or 9am, or 9am regular time or 9am daylight saving time? At least with one, you are in sync with the world. During winter when traveling east or west out of America, you might find yourself not just 4 or 8 hours off, but 5 or 9 hours off. Or you could go into Mexico or Canada, straight north or south and be an hour off.

I'm for keeping the old way, or just changing the start time for work and school, etc. But be in sync with the world. ,

Oh sweetie, you have No idea of the hullabaloo the teachers would create over changing school hours. Anything impacting their lives is verboten!

Old Indian saying:
Only a white man would cut a foot off the top of a blanket, sew it onto the bottom and expect the blanket to be longer.
