When the price of gas goes up so do the taxes. I can't see liberals lowering taxes for anything.

It’s oil capitalism at play. When supply is up and demand is low or down, price is down. Producers will pump a glut of oil when demand is low or down, take a little bit of loss and then wait for demand to go up. Shutting down refinery’s for SEASONAL maintenance and cleaning is a good control mechanism for manipulation of the price. It needs to be done but it’s a timing thing. Options are in place now to get in and start back exploration/production before the new regulations that Biden put in take effect. Canada oil sands are still coming in but by train and truck. Murdock’s rigs……
Where I live, gas spiked to $4.09.9 a gallon but today 16/mar/2022 it was $3.85.9 a gallon. Market at play.
