Ignorance is one thing, and it can be forgiven, but this perpetuation of what has become so obviously a lie is another, people who lie to your face are either using it to shut opposition up, or trigger a reaction. Nobody likes to be lied to, and at a certain point something will be done to shut liars up.

Start asking yourself, do you really believe the stupid things the right is dishing out? When stupid lies silence someone, it's not because you won an argument, it's because they feel sorry for such ridiculous ignorance. There is nowhere to go when someone is so wrong.

I don't ever ask anyone to believe me, I state easily verified facts and expect intelligent well informed people to do so...

On the other hand truly ignorant people go the opposite direction, and refuse to believe easily proved facts because of a source thereby perpetuating their ignorance...
