The mother of Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi testified in front of lawmakers Wednesday on Capitol Hill as a personal representative of her son, who has been held and tortured in a Mexican prison since April, 2014.

Everyone should know by now that Sgt. Tahmooressi took a wrong turn at the Mexican/USA border, was arrested and has been in jail since. Instead of allowing him to turn back, they arrested him and he has been in prison since. They made a big deal out of one American making a mistake, but yet expect and demand that we treat the thousands of illegal criminals that sneak across our borders as honored guests.

Sgt. Tahmooressi is suffering from PTSD after serving in Afghanistan. In April he told his mother that he tried to commit suicide because the guards and inmates were going to rape, torture and eventually execute him for information. He also described being strapped to a bed for 25 straight days. He said his time in Mexico imprisonment has been far worse than his two tours in Afghanistan.

During questioning, Ms. Tahmooressi revealed that not only has President Obama failed to call her personally about the situation, but said she has no knowledge he has called the President of Mexico to negotiate her son's release.

President of Concerned Veterans For America Pete Hegseth also testified, drawing contrast between Obama's efforts to swap deserter Bowe Bergdahl for five Taliban terrorists while failing to make a simply phone call to Jill Talmooressi concerning her son's status. Hegseth also reminded lawmakers Obama held a Rose Garden event for the parents of Bergdahl, but has left Ms. Tahmooressi to fight for the release of her son on her own.

I hope every cur that voted for this POS reads this article and tries to defend him in any way. Then we can fully see just what form of snake they really are.

I read it, I voted for Obama. Bergdahl was an active duty soldier, held by our known enemies. This issue is not about a soldier being held by our known enemy. It's about an American being arrested for violating the laws of a foreign country. It doesn't matter if he is a military man, he violated a law and was arrested. Nothing more...nothing less.... And you are also a puke. Bergdahl was an active-duty soldier that deserted his outfit in time of war. He laid down hi equipment and took off on foot to find the enemy. That act called for assassination before a firing squad. But instead, your great mentor paid a sum of money for his sorry ass while using his release as an excuse to turn 5 Taliban that was in high command in the terrorist group when he did not have to do so because Bergdahl was not traded for the release of the 5 Taliban terrorists.

Bergdahl was not held by the Taliban, but in fact was held by the Haqqani network, a far different group from the Taliban. The Haqqani's were not at all interested in trading Bergdahl for the 5 Taliban murderers. They could not have cared less whether the 5 Taliban were released or not. What they wanted was money to continue their criminal activities. So where did Obama get the money to pay the Haqqani's for bergdahl? That is a question that has never been answered by the crooked administration.

Now you say that Sgt. Tahmooressi was arrested for violating the laws of a foreign country. When he realized that he had taken a wrong turn at the border, he stopped at the checkpoint and tried to explain what had happened. The Mexican soldiers at the checkpoint took him prisoner and, so far, he is still in that prison. Now, in true left-wing Socialist Obama-loving Democrat fashion, you say that he broke the Mexican law, but you do not continue to say it was an honest mistake or not. So to your and your mentor's way of thinking, an honest mistake should be punished by months in prison where he has been tortured by what some stupid-asses such as yourself deem to be our allies.

So what should we do with the thousands of illegals that knowingly cross our borders illegally? Should we not toss them into prisons where they can be tortured at will also? Why does the Mexican government believe we should treat these pronounced criminals as honored guests when they illegally cross our borders?

That was not a wrong turn that he made, but rather a failure to get off the 405 and the last half mile or so before the Mexican border, because when you go to far there are barricades and no way to get off the highway and you can't back up leaving you with no choice but to enter Mexico. You would think there should be a way to exit at the last minute just before entering Mexico, but there is not. I was forced to enter Mexico myself years ago by coming too close to the border. (About 25 years ago) I guess it's never been changed since then and surely Mexican officials must know this. (Which makes their actions even worse)

Obama is an incredibly brazen scumbag to do nothing to help this poor Loyal Marine get out while he releases five savage terrorist commanders to get back one traitor/defector that we should have not wanted to get back for any other reason then to court-martial him. There is no way to get off the 405 once you get too close About 1/2 mile. There may be a sign stating "last exit" but that can be easily missed. The point you should be noticing is that Obama released the five most horrific savage terrorist commanders/generals at Gitmo in trade for one deserter/defector, actually trader, who caused the death (by his desertion) of five soldiers that went looking for him. I agree with everything you have said! I am a retired San Diego
Police Officer and used to work the border check at the border with Tia Juana! I know the calibre of police officers Mexico has, and they got their jobs because their mouths are sucking butt. They supplement their pay by stealing from foolish Americans that go down there, and
then commit some petty thing. I only went there twice. once to take my aunt, who owned a florist shop in Nebraska, and wanted to get some things to put in floral arrangements, and another time to get my car re-upholstered. other than that, my feet never touched Mexican dirt. My duty was to stop under-aged kids from going down there and getting in trouble.
I pray that Sgt. Tahmoressi will be released soon. You are right about the POS in OUR WHITE HOUSE.......MAYBE WE COULD EXCHANGE (IT) FOR THE GOOD SGT.!!!
