How stupid are you to allow unvaccinated patients to infect other patients and health workers. There is still a shortage of health workers and hospitable beds. Hopefully that's changing.
If people need an operation, they need to be vaccinated, if for no other reason than to protect others.

I should point out that there were three monoclonal antibody treatments that worked against the Delta varrient, and two of them do not work against Omicron. Thus there is a national shortage of monoclonal antibody treatments. Just type in monoclonal antibody effectivness against Omicron, and you will get a slew of articles on this.
