People let their bias flow in times where Demagogues rise and the suppression of information is alive and well in Tennessee. I guess they believe the Holocaust isn't important history.

You do understand the difference between 'ban a book' and 'not allowed in schools'?

Of course you do - it just doesn't fit your agenda.....

In Texas, there's a bounty on citizens that even think about abortion, and in Virginia, students are encouraged to snitch on teachers that even mention anything not on the official State approved list.

The GOP is afraid of real history, because it shows they didn't exist before 1862, proving the two party rule narrative is total BS.

That is all true. Gotta give you that but these folks don't see what they don't want to see. Apparently they don't want children to see the truth because it might end up comparing with what they are doing now.

If you can look at this objectively, then you may agree that some material should not be exposed to a 13 YO (8th grade average). Some material is better left to when a child is more mature. The book in question, Maus, is too graphic for 13YO or younger. There are better books that go into the holocaust without profanity, sexual conduct, and the murder of millions. The holocaust should be taught, along with our ugly history, but IMO it should be taught based on age appropriateness. Let us teach facts, not hate.

Well, altering peoples perception of history also isn't high on my agenda.

And teaching age-appropriate items are high on my agenda. One does not 'alter perceptions' by protecting children. When they are old enough to understand everything presented - then it is a different story.

Teaching 2nd graders that MLK was a plagiarist and philandering womanizer is not apprpriate.

Ok so you're saying if the book is graphic its teaching hate?

I understand what you're saying about age appropriateness but the holocaust was about profanity, sexual conduct and the murder of millions.

And still inappropriate to present that to 8th graders.

Have you read this cartoon book? If not, read it and come back with your thoughts.

How do you feel about destroying statues of Americans like George Washington, Robert E Lee, Abe Lincoln, and Thomas Jackson?

You're right, you would rather spend your time destroying statues and art work.

So you're upset over a few statues? Why?

Extreme leftwing indoctrination of children is high on your agenda.
