Teach the Gospel Unto the Whole World

The Jesus I know was a carpenter who had five houses built in major stops along the way of his ministry to eat and sup with his crew of 12 apostles. In order to do this in that time you had to have access to money. Who were his contributors then? It had to be the rich of that time who followed Jesus in his ministry, saw the miracles of healing, the poor touching his garments become healed, and the many contributions to the poor from a purse that was never empty.

Did Jesus dress as a rich man? When he was dying on the cross the Roman soldiers gambled for his raiment after they were ordered to destroy it. Would they have done that if it was a poor man’s clothing? He had some of the best clothing you could have at that time bought with the money from his rich contributors.

You could not be poor while traveling with an entourage of followers who needed to be fed and have places to sleep. Jesus provided all of that. At the wedding where he changed water into wine why would he do that unless he had many followers who went everywhere he went.

During his ministry he taught all who asked. As his brilliance as a speaker of truth grew, so did his popularity. Jesus was the most popular man on earth at that time, everyone knew his name. He was a celebrity of vast resources who traveled on a donkey. At that time a donkey was the ultimate in a rich man's private travel. Only the rich could afford this kind of transportation.

When he entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday there were over a million people there waiting for the Passover who recognized him as King as they laid down palms where he rode. That is what they did for royalty at that time. They recognized him as the Son of God in the flesh. When they asked him who do you say you are? He said,who do you say that I am? They said he was the Son of the living God. So his identity was known. He was the most popular man on earth rivaling Caesar at that time.

When he was killed on the cross for our sins, rose again in three days conquering death once and for all, he walked among the crowds for 40 days back then numbering over a million showing them his wounds so they would know he was the Christ. He appeared to his disciples before his ascension telling them he was the head of the church and they were the body. He told them he was leaving to build mansions for those that believed and when he returned he would come for his bride the body of Christ.

On the Mt. of Olives right before he ascended to heaven to be with the father he told them, the body of Christ, that they were to continue his ministry on the earth and gave them authority to perform all the gifts of the spirit just as he did. Although the head was gone the body must continue on in the Spirit to speak and perform healings and gifts of the spirit just as he did. This all the apostles did until their deaths.

So then as the body of Christ today must not we do the same thing? Should not we teach the Gospel as he did, bringing in more believers in Christ? Should not we preach it to the whole world so they too will have a chance to know God and be saved? Is not that our mission then today? For God says when the Gospel of his coming is preached unto the whole world it is then and only then will the end come. So then the sooner we teach all who will listen, the sooner he will come back at the last battle of Armageddon to destroy the wicked, bringing with him all the Saints,that will be you and I. Is not it so then we will bring down heaven to the earth sooner rather than later if we all participate as the body of Christ to get this mission done and accomplished?
