You just make up shit every minute. Worlforce rate chart is below. Much worse under Obama than Bush

1st nobody is making it difficult to create work. That is a dumb statement. If you expect me to waste my time on a heritage link. Go sit a talk with Sean Hannity.

When you read garbage you become stupid to the facts. You don't know how to add. The workforce numbers under Bush was actually worse than Obama. I look at the BLS numbers.

The not looking for work numbers have been there for years. It has been made a talking point by the GOPTP and your propaganda news. Which is based on retirement, Baby boomers retired early, stay at home moms, High School students 16 and older, college students, and also the country is getting older, the share of the population past retirement age is increasing. Even in good economic times this would tend to drive the work participation rate down. And the facts have shown this to be happening over the last 10 years.

So if you want to deal with just a little bit of common sense, this leaving the workforce number has always been there and the numbers were actually a little worse under Bush than Obama. But what pisses me off is you read shit you believe shit and never bother to fact check or try to get to where these numbers come from.

Just as a little fact for you to maybe do some math which you have a problem

Approximately 10,000 baby boomers per day are reaching the age of 65 and most are retiring. Plus we have a large number retiring and leaving the workforce early.

Number of stay at home moms or dads has increased from 23% to 29% due to a major increase in childcare.

I could go on and on but there are facts behind all these numbers. The leaving the workforce had always been there. But it's a useless number. It has been made a talking point by the GOPTP. Obamas numbers fluctuate because of the baby boomers and the increase in stay at home moms. So stop your BS with your chirp chirp and just for once use a little common sense.

Exactly, take a look at the lefts fanatical obsession with the Kochs. The talking point is they poison the environment for a profit........ The premise is a lie and the truth is, 60,000 middle class families have good jobs, feed their families, pay taxes, buy homes and automobiles are conveniently ignored while the moon bats attack the profit motive. Which I am sure is their major objective, take hollywood for example.

Dick Durbin, Illinois' "illustrious" senator, is running ads saying he has introduced legislation that will penalize those evil corporations for leaving the US while helping the ones who stay with lower taxes. Why doesn't he just lower them for EVERYONE so they will ALL stay? What an idiot. And people in Illinois eat it up. I guess he's not such an idiot after all...it's the voter's who are idiots!

Contrary to what Harry Reid would have us believe, CORPORATIONS are not the largest over all political campaign contributors, UNIONS are. See the link above if you are interested.

Here is a look at Koch Industries (and by proportional association, private corporations) vs. Unions;

For the period 1989 to 2014 a period of 25 years, cash contributions to political campaigns AND the percentage of those contributions by party;

Unions, including federal and state Public Employee Unions andTeachers unions - $650 million - 96% to Democrat party...The fraction to the Republican party is made for legal and charter compliance purposes only.

Koch Industries $20 million - 100% to Republican party.

In a recent move by Democrats to start the process of limiting contributions Senate Joint Resolution 19 (S. JR-19 at Library of Congress) introduced by Comrade Tom Udall (D) New Mexico would propose to give states the power to set CORPORATE campaign contributions AND to control the language in campaign materials and advertising. Oddly UNIONS would not be considered 'corporations' for the purposes of this legislation. Isn't that special?

Why?

Baby boomers reaching the age of 65 and retiring, the stay at home moms or dads are increasing, And the number of college students are increasing. Don't forget one thing that number is based on all Americans 16 years of age and up. So the census shows number of citizens 16 and older and the actual workforce. It's a number that has increased or decreased over many years. Look at the history of this number and why has it not ever come up in the past. Only under Obama and it did create a great talking point for the GOPTP to exploit. But like all the GOPTP talking points it will go away because it means absolutly nothing.

These numbers have always been a part of leaving the workforce and over the years the numbers increase or decrease depending on retirement, early retirement, disability, but for some reason the GOPTP uses this number to hide there failed policies of creating jobs. Check these numbers out under Bush you will find the same trend of people leaving the workforce. Why was it not an issue then. Example stay at home moms over the last 10 years has increased from 23% to. 29% . Retirement has increased to approximately 10,000 people per day because of the baby boomers and this will continue to increase over the next 20 years by approximately 5%. Due to the outstanding economy under Clinton a lot of people have been able to retire early and leave the workforce because of personnel savings and investments, this number is going up also. If you really wanted to find out about this number it's pretty simple to research the history of this issue and the numbers today. It had nothing to do with the Obama economy.

Your not looking at the full scope of what the Koch brothers have raised through there numerous super Pacs that have been created by the Koch brothers. You have not looked at the millions raised by Koch sponsored super pacs. It does not come even close to unions. You take one number of Koch personnel investment by the fund raising done under Koch far out numbers any organization in this country. Just take a look at the Dark money filtered through Americans for prosperity and ALEC, all funds raised through the corporate elite. If you had any kind of common sense you would understand your statement about unions is bogus. And besides unions pay on an average of 28% federal taxes your corporate elite pay an average of 12%. So your policy of destroy collective bargaining and lower taxes to the corporate elite equals deficit increases. But common sense had never been a part of the GOPTP.

Just look at Kansas there's your agenda.

Mr tdsrnest,

Apparently you do selective reading so I guess I'll have to repeat myself. Please refute using FACTS.

You want to talk about employment numbers. These statistics and definitions are all readily available on the BLS website. No “cooked” numbers about people not in the labor force. All these stats are from the beginning of Obama’s presidency and show that there has been an increase of 2.1 million people who are either unemployed or work part-time and includes 1.0 million discouraged workers (see BLS definition below). And we're better off than we were six years ago? Hardly!

Increase in civilian non-institutional population (Persons 16 years of age and older residing in the 50 states and the District of Columbia, who are not inmates of institutions (e.g., penal and mental facilities, homes for the aged), and who are not on active duty in the Armed Forces): 14.7 million – 6.3 percent

Increase in civilian labor force (All persons in the civilian non-institutional population classified as either employed or unemployed): 1.6 million – 1.0 percent

Increase in employed persons (All persons who, during the reference week (week including the twelfth day of the month), (a) did any work as paid employees, worked in their own business or profession or on their own farm, or worked 15 hours or more as unpaid workers in an enterprise operated by a member of their family, or (b) were not working but who had jobs from which they were temporarily absent. Each employed person is counted only once, even if he or she holds more than one job.): 1.2 million – 0.9 percent

Increase in full-time workers (35 hours or more per week): 400 thousand – 0.3 percent

Increase in part-time workers (1 to 34 hours per week): 800 thousand – 14.2 percent

Increase in discouraged workers (Persons outside the labor force who want a job): 1.0 million – 20.5 percent

Increase in unemployed persons (All persons who had no employment during the reference week, were available for work, except for temporary illness, and had made specific efforts to find employment some time during the 4 week-period ending with the reference week. Persons who were waiting to be recalled to a job from which they had been laid off need not have been looking for work to be classified as unemployed.): 300 thousand – 3.8 percent

We’ll keep this simple…

1 job held by retiree –1 same person retires + 1 new hire to backfill retiree’s job = 1 job

1 job held by retiree –1 same person retires = 0 jobs

Therefore, if a job is not backfilled by a new hire to replace the retiree, 1 job is lost.
