Many of them could possibly be Baby Boomer retirees but then what happened to their jobs? If they were filled the Workforce participation rate would have remained the same .

The 92 million is in reference to the GOPTP propaganda that 92 million people left the workforce because they could not find a job. This number has always been there and somehow it's a cute way to slam Obama. It's just typical GOPTP playing with words to hide the fact that their policies have failed and they have to use lies and propaganda to cover for the failed policies of the GOPTP.
It was intended to show the population of this country of people over the age of 16 and the actual workforce. Then the GOPTP BS begines with lies propaganda about how 92 million actually out of work. Lets consider that the national median sales price of a home has increased over 41 percent from February, 2012 to August, 2014 and you have stated that your house increased in value by $200,000 during this timeframe. This would mean that your house is now worth almost $700,000 which leads me to believe that you are one of the one percenters, those evil people that the liberals and I thought you were one of them are always whining about.
