I was never a die hard football fan, butā¦ā¦..I watched more games when Tony Aikman, Emmitt Smith, and Irvin ( I forgot his first name) played than any other time. Johnson created magic with that trio! What a team they made! Jones replacement for Johnson was not well received by Cowboy fans!
Since we moved here in complete retirement and then with Covid and being isolated, we started watching football againā¦ā¦and enjoying it! One can only fish so much! āŗļø

Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin they called the triplets. Emmitt Smith owed much of his success to one of the best offensive lines ever assembled. They called it the Great Wall of Dallas.
I used to work with some guys that never tired of fishing. They didnāt even like fish and would always throw them back. I suck at fishing but always enjoyed it.
Ever tried fly fishing?

I love to fly fish! I was totally hooked from the first time I tried it! I havenāt had much opportunity since we sold our Outfitters Business. Not much fly fishing in Texas or Alabama. We talked about trying it in the ocean, but when I got my fly rod out it was in pretty sad shapeā¦ā¦ā¦ Needless to say the line was rotten! We throw most of our fish back too. Iām not that big of a fan when it comes to fish, but I do like shrimp!

Iāve never tried fly fishing but would like to. Ever seen that movie A River Runs Through It? I used to live near some scenery similar.
I like most types of fish to eat. I love shrimp. An uncle of mine called them the oceanās cockroaches. Lol. Still enjoy them though.

Weāve seen that movie several times through the years. Those scenes of that line floating through the air, then add that music scoreā¦ā¦.breathtaking! I have some of the music from this and Legends of the Fall on my play list.
My husband is one of those guys that always was able to pick anything up quickly, except casting a fly rod! Fly fishing is the only thing that I was ever to able to sayā¦ā¦Hun, let me help youā¦.do like this! š
I was never huge Brad Pitt fan, but between that movie and Legends of the Fallā¦..they are among my favorites.
I miss the mountains! Our main hunting camp was out of Lewistown, Montana about 20 miles. We leased a private ranch with our cabins on the summer range in the mountains. We hunted mule deer, whitetail, bear, turkey, hunsies (my all-time favorite eating bird) in the mountains and antelope on the plains of the winter range. We had special hunts that we used our horses and packed into the Little Snowies, bow hunts for Elk in the Missouri Breaks, and a trophy Elk hunt of a 6 point or better on a ranch out of Ennis, Montana.
I was so blessed to have had the opportunity to roam around the beautiful country in Montana and had some wonderful adventuresā¦ā¦and met some very interesting folks along the way! It was very hard work, but very rewarding. I was the chief cook and bottle washer! The young man that started working as a guide for us when he was 18 eventually bought our business and still owns it today!

Good morning, Sunshine! š¤ āļøā”ļøš„
I donāt want to give a false impression of my life. I was blessed with a good man that wasnāt afraid to take a chance every once in while and who loved me and made me a part of whatever we did! We had our fair share of bumps in the road. In the early years we didnāt put God first, then we were dealt with a devastating blow. God got our attentionā¦.from then on He got all the glory! We learned to trust and thank him in the bad times as well as the good. We moved here for one more adventure before we got too old! It hasnāt gone quite like we had planned, but thatās OKā¦ā¦God is still on his throne and we still trust his plan for us! Weāre going home to Texasā¦.time to plant out feet back on Texas soil!
One day we will go home and start our best adventure yetā¦with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! šš»
