A lot of the slowdown, as previously covered here on OPP, is due to California regulations supporting Unions over owner operators and green laws mandating all electric trucks in the future and out moded trucks by only California laws.

The only person I know who caught Covid got it from unmasked truckers delivering goods to his store.
This was before widesptead vaccines. Anyone who works with the public should be vaccinated.
