So, a black guy goes into Walmart and picks up a bb-gun in the same shape as an ak-47(?spelling), and gets nothing else. He then goes down an isle and begins to wave the gun around and point it at products on the shelf.
A white guy sees this and calls 911 about the ak-47, where swat comes in demanding the black guy drop the gun. The black guy does not respond in anyway to the demands.
Swat team kills the black guy.

My take on this. The black guy is probably between 27 and 35. He and all else know we live in a time of suicide mass shooters. He is using absolutely no respect to anyone else in the store who sees him with the ak-47 (bbgun) to completely freak out over it.
Any older lady or man could have walked around that isle and seen him with that gun and had a heart attack.
Will the constant resurfacing attitude of the Blacks ever stop????????

I didn't grab the link but just search for it and it's easy to find. You can see the attitude in the video as he points the gun into the products.
Course, there will be riots, mayhem, fires, destruction, and total disrespect to our Country..........
You can be not racial, yet continued 'ridiculous' stuff like this guy will make you racial.

Here is the link to your story: http://www.inquisitr.com/1498171/walmart-shooting-video/

Have you ever heard of the phenomena of suicide by cop? Suicide by Cop occurs when people want to die but do not want to kill themselves. So they put themselves in a position where a police officer is forced to shoot them.

Suicide by cop incidents are extremely dangerous to police officers because they never know if the individual will try to kill them too.

Some suicidal individuals will point an empty gun at the police because they know that the police will shoot back in self-defense.

Yet others will have a loaded gun and will want to kill as many police officers as possible before they die.

Most police officers who are involved in suicide by cop incidents suffer emotional difficulties afterwards, and sometimes even suffer from post traumatic stress disorder.

And some people who die from suicide by cop leave notes explaining their reasons for taking their actions, and sometimes they apologize to the officers.

Suicide by cop occurs more frequently than most people would imagine. In a study that was published in the Annals of Emergency Medicine, researchers analyzed data from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The researchers concluded that suicide by cop was surprisingly common and the number of incidents was rising.

Researchers studied data from 1987 through 1997 and found that 11 percent of officer-involved shootings were suicide by cop incidents.

Other findings from the study about those who were involved in suicide by cop incidents:

•98 percent were male
•39 percent had a history of domestic violence
•Many individuals abused alcohol and/or drugs
•Many individuals had a prior history of suicide attempts
•About 50 percent of the weapons used were loaded
•17 percent used a toy or replica gun

I am wondering what's the deal with Walmart? This a.m. a video on fox showed a black man with a cell phone that they said because of his having something in his hand police fired on him. I hope this is separate incidents. If not, police killed an innocent man.

It is the same shooting. The video is not clear enough to determine if Crawford was on the phone. But, I still think that this is suicide by cop. This is just my opinion, but I think that many of these people who want to be killed are looking for a way for their family to be able to sue and receive large settlements. In addition to their need to be seen and heard, their 15 minutes of fame. And they die, but are not to blame for their own death. Someone else pulled the trigger. And I think that many of these people are really antigun. They think if enough people are sacrificed in this manner, then guns will be outlawed for private citizens. It is sad, but a cop responding to something like this has no way of knowing the intent of the suspect, they do not know if the gun is real.

Many people are advocating "open carry" of firearms in retail stores. Will this put added strain on Police and can we expect more incidents like this?

I do not know. My opinion is that it should not. If the weapon is holstered and the security at the store is doing their job, they will know who is doing what. I can also see the other side, people will over react to a gun until they get used to seeing them. I do not see this as a winning situation. I understand the need for many to arm themselves, we have not lived in such dangerous times for many years. But, I can also see the negative side of this, full blown paranoia where everyone is a potential terrorist. Again, you asked a very good question that I simply do not have a good response.

This is an open carry state, the asshole who called the police changed his story after he got the guy killed. The victim was on the phone with family and never saw the cops until he was shot.

Thank you for the link, but it does not show the video and the only one I can find is not clear enough and close enough to determine what the man was doing or even holding. It is possible he was on the phone. Which brings me to my detest for people that have to be on the phone at all times. They become unaware of everything around them and because they are distracted they do stupid things. But, that is for another thread or topic. It is possible that his behavior was misunderstood.....almost anything is possible. So, the real question is whether or not the officer that did the shooting perceived a real threat to himself or others. I don't think that I am in the position to judge based on the available video and not being there. Who knows if people were not cowering on adjacent isles, or quickly moving out of the store because they perceived danger. One can only speculate on what else was going on.

So, thank you again for the link and your comments.

This shows his arrival, and video until his end. You are correct that the cell phone made him oblivious to his surroundings. Unfortunately Walmart's video does not have sound.

I can not believe that I just sat here and watched this thing from beginning to end. What I saw was a man and a woman enter the parking lot, they enter the store. Apparently the woman made her purchases and left the store (to the exit doors) the man remained behind. After some long uneventful rambling through the store, he picks up the toy. Walks around and then becomes almost stationary in the Pet department where he keeps pointing the toy at shelves. I only saw two other individuals in the last few hundred hours of the tape, one exited the area quickly to the left and a woman and teenager make a quick exit to the right. The distance between the camera and the person with the toy was too far to determine if he was on the phone.

So, one has to ask, why was he still in the store if his companion departed? I guess that is not material, but I have to ask why? And, why was he lingering so long in the Pet department? no, it is not a crime, just curious. And why are people using this to prove the responding officer was in error?

No one was running screaming from the area, a store employee walked by him a couple of times. This is a BB gun, guns are allowed to be carried in this state, no one is near him. So why did the cop choose to shoot him, and after shooting him, go up to him and pump a few more rounds into him as he is laying there, with the BB gun a few feet away.
