Which President Said The Following...
Which president said the following..."each time we gather to inaugurate a president, we bear witness to the enduring strength of our Constitution. What makes us exceptional, what makes us America is our allegiance to an idea articulated in a declaration... We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal. That they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, and among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."
"The patriots of 1776 did not fight to replace the tyranny of a king with the privileges of a few, or the rule of a mob. They gave us a republic, a government of and by, and for the people, entrusting each generation to keep safe our founding creed..."
Beautiful words, aren't they? Who do you think spoke them? Abraham Lincoln? Teddy Roosevelt? Ronald Reagan? Actually it was none other than the Master Liar himself, Barack Hussein Obama in his second inauguration speech.
Now I wonder how a President of the United States can use phrases like "unalienable rights" and government "of the people, by the people and for the people when all of his actions point away from a republic of liberty and toward bureaucratic despotism?"
Or even more troubling, why so many Americans either don't notice, or simply don't care?
Too bad he didn't mean it!
They won't care until their EFT cards stop getting topped up. Or until the pillage proceeds down the scale of wealth until
they're getting plundered, supposedly for the benefit of those less well off even than themselves.

Because as long as they are provided with internet access and cable/satellite TV - everything is fine and hunky dory. It's the REST of us that have a problem.
For me it's just words and had/has no true meaning.

IIRC, there was quite a dust-up about him leaving out the key words, "by their creator". He was already going down his path of deception and lies on that very inauguration day.

I agree that he was playing the people for fools, and succeeded in many cases. And he is still succeeding to a great degree.

You're absolutely right---a paraphrasing of Abraham Lincoln. People love Ole Abe, guess they'll love me too!
I say, Look around you, BO, people aren't loving you so much anymore!
He overestimated how many of the people he could fool and for how much of the time.

Exactly. But I wonder if his handlers continually stroke his ego (easy to do, for him) so as to keep him seemingly sane!

I wouldn't bet that that's all they're stroking.

Great--got a big chuckle out of that!
Gotta go now.
