The Alien Invasion – Proud Americans Strike Back With Signs and Protests

Friday and Saturday, groups around the country turned out in a grassroots protest against the influx of illegal aliens at the border. Angry, proud, and desperate to make their voices heard, these Americans brought their message to the streets in droves, warning their fellow countrymen of the “alien invasion” threatening the U.S. in a variety of ways.

A protester speaking to a CNN reporter summarized the dilemma at the heart of the matter with a simple statement: “It is a sad state of affairs for those kids, but it’s not our job to take care of them.”

They called it the “National Day of Protesting Against Immigration Reform, Amnesty, and Border Surge.” Protesters sought out their banners and signs in more than 300 cities across the country to speak out against the administration’s inaction regarding a very serious problem at the border.

“Stop Illegal Alien Invasion,” read one sign in Kansas City, MO. Another read, “Strengthen Our Borders.”

The border was at the top of the news cycle for a week or so before Malaysian Flight 17 and the invasion of Gaza pushed it to page 2. Once those crises begin to fade from consciousness, though, immigration will once again take center stage. Why? Because it is the issue that most greatly affects the U.S. on an ongoing basis, and Obama is doing little to get a grip on the problem. Rick Perry is sending National Guard troops to the Rio Grande valley, the California and Texas school systems are doing what they can to accommodate more than 60,000 children, but the president remains inactive and inert.

Well, not quite inert. He has asked Congress for nearly $4 billion in funds to throw at the problem. To see if maybe he can bury it under a pile of cash and government growth. And of course everyone yelled “obstructionism” when House Republicans balked at the figure, but this isn’t a problem that’s going to get solved with an obscene amount of money.

Money will help us assimilate these immigrant children into the system, but is that really the direction we should be heading? It doesn’t take a lot of money to put firm deportation policies in place – policies that will discourage future refugees from seeking freedom in the United States.

And of course, the second problem is that it’s not just children coming across the border. That’s the focus of the humanitarian crisis, of course, and it’s something that needs to be considered when we determine policy, but that’s not the whole story. The problem is we really don’t know who might be coming across the border. We’re not far enough removed from terrorist attacks that we’ve forgotten the dangers of letting Islamic extremists into the country, are we? Surely not, when it was only a year ago that the Boston Marathon played host to two pressure cooker bombs.

Something must be done at the border. Hopefully protests like the ones seen this weekend will wake up the Washington establishment.

I wish I had your trust in the "Washington Corrupters" doing what would be best for America and Americans including people of color... The winners in this sarade will be the Democrat-Marxists Party and their New 'added' base, the Latinos!!! When coupled to the Blacks, this will guarantee a Socialist Empire unlike anything the World has ever seen (Nearly Bloodless)... Then when added to Russia & China (Who Own Much of the U.S. Already!) there just might be world peace, there will no need to fight another Country because they will have totally controlled of the majority of the worlds populations (Not Unlike the book & movie 1984), all will be "Marching" to the same tune, even Muslims... Yes I believe in time, maybe as little as 100 years the "people" will tire of the tyrannical collar around their necks and start the stirrings for some type of freedom, maybe not a Republic as we know it, but something other than total domination of the Government disguised as The U.N. and World Government... Me, I'll be long gone as will my children and their childrens children, but just maybe my great, great, great grandchildrens generation will have discovered a "Set of Balls" and would be looking for an avenue towards this freedom... I believe the answer will be found in God (We No Longer Will Care By What Name You Call God; Allah, Jesus Son of God, Higher Power, Buddha, or Love, or Just Good) as it has been for all of man's history, the seaking, the journey, is where the joy lies... If these anti-immigrant protests go like all the other "take back America" rallies, you can expect a turnout like the "million trucker" convoy (that drew 30 trucks) or "Operation American Spring", in May, which drew 300 people to a rally billed to have 10,000,000 protestors.

If these right wingers spent as much time reaching out to young voters and minorities, as they do bitching and moaning and being all around sore losers, they actually might get somewhere.

That, however, requires intelligence.

I hope this goes to just Brian; If you are implying I lack intelligence you are absolutely correct!!!

I'm so dumb I read the entire message before I jump to judgement about any of you on the Left side of the Avenue...

In This case I would suggest you read the last paragraph (below the wiggle line) then you would be justified in discussing my brain power...

Like you I have my beliefs, my come from living as an activist in my area of concerns and letting my State Assiblemen/women just what I think, I also have been known to contact my Governor's office and once was invited from the S.F. Bay Area for a visit in Sacramento with then Gov. Reagan...

I also stay in close contact with my House Rep. & Senators, I haven't contacted this president because I don't speak Kenyan or Muslim...

I believe this man is a traitor to the oath he took, it's binding even if he isn't a citizen (there is nothing written that say, only binding for REAL Americans...

So lacking in rudimentary Intelligence lives me at a disadvantage to a superior intellect like you sir!!! Don D. ;-)
