If they push this, mail and package delivery will only get worse. Thousands will walk.
The job is bad enough as it is without this crap.

Best job for many they could ever get...and handling hundreds of pieces of mail a day they shouldn't be required to be vaccinated?

Hey, there are thousands of people who would love a job with the post office, look at all the refugees that could take their jobs.

Post office needs to be shut down. Commercial enterprise can do much better at package/document delivery.

Sure, vaccinate them so they can spread the virus on the mail just like the unvaccinated.

I can tell you why that is. Understaffed, over worked, massive package volume due to Amazon, and UPS, and brain dead management. Out of 9 new hires at my station brought on in the last 3 months, 6 have quit because they're being worked to death.

But, It's a GREAT union job that anyone would love to have!!

You left off antiquated technology, run down inefficient facilities and staff that has 100% adopted the stereotypical government/union slug attitude, managed by buffoons that have risen through that same system.

I dread dealing with the post office for anything.

There work should be outsourced to a commercial, for profit endeavor. Sell off all the real estate they occupy.
Critical business can't be conducted with this unreliable cluster eff.

I'm a mail carrier. I see it every day. I hear it every day.
And, your first part pretty much nailed it.
I dread going to work every day.

I'm sure that i was a bit too harsh. I realize that there are many decent hard workers in the post office, particularly the more rural stations. I also understand how good ones are trapped in a decent pay/benefits job where they are beaten down and boxed into the machine daily.

A lot of people do feel that way. Me, not so much. I comply with their unrealistic demands, while at the same time using their system to protect myself against them. They can't fire me now. I'll have to fire them. Dambdest place I've ever worked, but my hide is thick, and all I know is get up, and go to work.
I'll prolly be late to my own funeral because it doesn't coincide with my lunch break.
