I had to come up with a quality to equal your kindness and benevolence.

It may prove a one-time occurence, though.

I haven't your capacity for decency.

You may well need my attributes tomorrow evening, while, again, being, "all alone am I....". That is all I can remember of the song. Is the Sgt. Major packed, sleeping in preparation for her adventure?

That song was by Brenda Lee, "Little Miss Dynamite", in 1963. "All alone am I...ever since your goodbye. All alone, with just a bit of my heart", etc. It may have been the song of my first dance with the little red-headed girl in 8th grade, at the sock-hop. She was 'hot'....I was not. I was terrified.

The Sgt. Major and Mary are leaving Tuesday morning, instead of tomorrow. They will return by Wednesday night, or until they run out of money. :hunf:
