Over the past 6 or 7 years, Hamas has constructed an elaborate subterranean system of tunnels and bunkers under Gaza City. Kinda like what the Japanese did on Iwo Jima.
The purpose of this massive complex was not to tunnel into Israel, rather this 600 mile complex was to turn Gaza City into a fortress where Hamas could protect, maintain, and sustain its war capabilities - weapons and munitions storage and maintenance facilities, command & control and medical facilities, and of course, lots of hardened shelter, better known as hiding places.
Using state-of-the-art detection technology, the IDF and Israeli intelligence mapped "The Metro".
Last Thursday, the IDF pulled off one of most extraordinary military deceptions and surprise attacks in history.
They massed armor, artillery and infantry along the border near Gaza City and gave every indication they were going to invade. They made sure the media and Hamas were aware of their presence and their intentions.
The Hamas cowards did just what the IDF expected, they went underground.
Then, with over 100 attack jets armed with bunker busters, in came the Israeli air force.
In addition to blowing hell out of The Metro complex and seriously reducing Hamas' current ability to attack, they buried a whole bunch of Hamas terrorists, including leaders, in a mass grave.
The Israel pilots circled around and went after the sonsabitches who survived and were hauling ass out of The Metro looking for a deeper hole to crawl in.
Twas a brilliant operation. In essence, Israel took the Islamic doctrine of deception and shoved it up Hamas ass.

Blade, I only wish this kind of terrorism would disappear. Hamas has made it perfectly clear that it has no intention of making peace with Israel, unless it agrees to accept a peace plan that would mean the end of the Israeli state. This means at least another generation of Palestinians will never know peace. I wish that the US, and the West would allow Israel to do what needs to be done. There is no doubt that Israel has the military might to end this terrorism that Israelis have lived with for decades. The Palestinian people deserve peace, and a chance to build a peaceful Palestinian state to raise their children in peace and prosperity, not constant war and death. It is no secret that Hamas has become expert in using human shields to protect its terrorist murderers from Israeli fire. Thats what Palestinians do to with its children.
