What do you do?

A number of State Legislatures, including my own, have decided to override voter approved initiatives. All of them share one trait - they are GOP controlled. What American would stand for their elected representatives defying the will of the people? The answer appears to be - republican voters. This seems to be at odds with the standard GOP mantra about government overreach.

So, what do voters do when their representatives give them the middle finger? If voters approve an initiative, what ever it may be, it is a clear sign that the majority of citizens want this, so what right does the Legislature have to deny them? How does one bring one's own representative to heel?

Well, let's look at that. If, come election season, one's rep has a primary challenger, one can vote for the challenger - hoping they won't pull the same shit. If one's rep has no challenger, one is pretty much screwed, because no self respecting republican would ever vote for a democrat.

What right does a State's Legislature have to defy the will of the people? They have every right........................because you won't stop them. Of course, one could always just opt out of voting all together, but nothing changes that way either.

This illegitimate takeover wasn’t from or for the people! Our legitimate votes were demolished and our wishes overturned!

There just wasn’t enough of like minded people like you to win the election.
Why can’t youz understand that ?
The Majority of votes wins the election.
Nothing was stolen or misplaced or miscounted or thrown out or any of the million reasons you claim to justify your loss.
Pull up your big girl pants and get over it.

End Citizens United now.
Get money out of politics.
Expose the corruption instead of jyst shrugging.
Force campaign donors to identify themselves. Let everyone see what they’re doing to help themselves and not you.
