Scott Pelley, news anchor for CBS News. In a speech a day ago, said, the so call journalist for major news out lets are getting the big stories wrong, over and over again. And that it has been a very bad month for them. He said of this group, every one is a publisher, but that no one is an editor. It turns out that all of them want to be first with the big story. So much so no one will verify there story even if they know it may not be true. Pelley goes on to ask the question. How then does it matter to the general public who is first? Pelley flatly states, Being fair, right, true, honest, are what counts. Gee, I wonder what finally made him come to that conclusion? So Mr. Pelley, I have a question for you. Have you ever heard the old fraise, you can lie to some of the people some of the time, but you cant lie to all of the people all of the time? And I ask you folks, could this be a turning point for CBS. Perhaps. The thing that has me wondering, Why now, why this time in our nations history? Is it perhaps now, even they see the hand writing on the wall? And are seeing the wheels starting to come off the Obama band wagon. Are they finally ready to admit, if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and looks like a duck, then it must be a duck. What do you think folks? RETW

Journalism died somewhere during the middle 1960s about the time the American Communist Party bought main stream media turning it into the propaganda mouth piece spewing forth the official American Communist Party Line.

Victory on the Battlefield in Viet Nam became a political defeat in America thanks to the Communist Propaganda of main steam media. Three million innocent men, women, and children died thanks to liberal LIES! This does not include the Killing Fields of Cambodia.

I understand your frustration and contempt for journalism. But the point I was trying to make still remains. Could this be a crack in their so called, right, to publish anything they want, Even, if it is wrong? With the advent of the computer, now installed into most homes. E Mail, The cell phone, smart phones, tablet, Y Fi, blue tooth, blue ray and all the rest. Means, Instant in your face communication, It does seem to me that it is getting more difficult for the so called journalist to operate without some one challenging them. I for one find this a very good development. Nothing is going to change, or bring back any of the brave men and woman, that gave there very lives, to there country, and its people. I honor them all. But I have been around a long time. And I believe there is a change in the works. We can only hope. The past can only change the future, if we learn the true lessons that it teaches. RETW

A common ploy among propagandists is to appear to have a change of heart, to seem more "reasonable." This sets you up for the next hit.

The problem lies with our educational/political system that has bred dishonesty and cultural laziness to such a high degree. The technological boom has been pushed at our children as some huge change in ethos as opposed to what it is which is increased laziness about the issues in life that never change. Happiness comes from a healthy honest lifestyle of hard work and self discovery and our educational system has taught the opposite. Obama is simply the culmination of this and can do nothing else but continue to push the only thing he knows, hate, racism, dishonesty and destruction. I do believe more and more people see this as Obama and the liberal leaders of this country are not very good at telling their lies. Arrogance by the educated elites is and perhaps has destroyed this country and the misery is just beginning. I weep for my children for they are surrounded by idiot traitors that don't even know they are. Thanks Alinsky, I wish you were alive so I could beat the shit out of you.

weneedrubio, I am reminded of the words of Sun Tsu, written well before the birth of Christ: "Supreme Excellence in Warfare lies in destruction of your enemy's will to resist. If I might elaborate, why bother with the destruction option, when another, easier one exists? I am talking about our pathetic educational system, which is what the current "brainwash du jour" is being called. Rather than destroy the will to resist, convince your opponent there is no need to resist, the threat is non-existent. Granted, a more time-consuming process, but more effective, and more economical.

It has proven to work like a charm. It is impossible to even have a conversation with these brain dead liberals. The hate is extreme and they are willing to kill themselves and their children simply to win an argument. Unbelievable, isn't it?

Will it remain so excellent when our new leaners find their way onto it? Some outstanding things have been said so far but if they stumble in things will go to hell very fast.

I would love to believe that Scott Pelley was speaking from the heart, would love to think the MSM may be seeing the light, but I simply do not find that easy to do because of the intense distrust they have caused me to feel for them and their craven excitement in trying for years and years to destroy perfectly decent people for the sole purpose of being "one of the heroes" promoting the great and wondrous overturning of capitalist America".

There's another reason I don't trust this to be a truthful mea culpa. He mentioned ever so briefly of having spoken to Obama, and because of the the media's history and Obama's willingness to do whatever it takes to destroy the US, it flashed through my brain that this is probably the latest Obama's misdirection and distraction to lessen our intense observation of what he is doing. Things have gotten a little hot what with Benghazi, voter fraud, BC problems - there's a need for a break, time to cool down - maybe this little plan could provide that for Obama - and the press has done his bidding all along......why stop now? What purpose would be served to the dark side?

Kudos, my friend, kudos!!
I totally agree with your assessment - it's spot on. Our politicians at that time were totally responsible for so much pain, anger, injuries in a war they never once intended to WIN. It was in the '60's I began to truly dislike most politicians - knew they were snakes slithering around just looking for something to kill. And when the little traitor, Jane Fonda, never suffered any kind of retribution from our government for selling out our soldiers, I knew at that time, that there is no such thing as "equal justice under the law". It may be "equal" for thee, but it is NOT equal for "me".

You and I don't have to prove ourselves to ANYBODY in the media or the government. THEY are the ones who have strayed and wreaked havoc with good, decent Americans. It is THEY who must prove themselves to those who have suffered at their hands - and, between you and me, I don't think they stand a snowflake's chance in hell of doing that.

I'm going to give him {Scott Pelley} the benefit of the doubt for now. Probably still suffering from the brainwashing he received in college. He also could have been threatened by the administration or even his superiors if he didn't do their bidding. Only time will tell. For now, I will withhold judgement as maybe he is a good man after all.

Come on, even Bill Ayers and Boudin have had time to evolve(I'd still put a bullet in both their scrawny heads for their crimes) how long are you going to give this brain dead liberals to see the light? That is our problem, we are willing to let these dumb asses keep spouting there ignorant crap. It's time to stop them.
