There are good blacks I know, some are my friends. but I wonder.
Why is it that they are the only ones roaming 24 hours daily committing crimes? That is why they are the people arrested by the police.

Maxine Waters is cray-cray. Worse than Pelosi. And may cause a mistrial of Derek Chauvin. Why she isn't immediately expelled from the House is only because Democrats control a majority and stick together following their marching order like good little comrades.

Blacks have more encounters with LEOs. But in some crime categories, they do not commit more crime than any other ethnic group. However, because it is believed that they commit more crime, police resources are focused on blacks. Consequently, more blacks are arrested and convicted, receiving longer prison terms than other ethnic groups. It becomes a self-fulling prophecy. Most blacks follow the law and want good law enforcement in their communities.

Blacks are less successful at getting CCPs, often because of faulty records that make mistakes about their name when ran through a criminal database, and sometimes because of a bias or prejudice against them by the approving authorities to grant CCPs. This is not systemic or institutional racism. It is ignorance on the part of officials responsible for making these decisions. As I said, it is a bias, often based on bad data, but it is not racism. It takes much longer and more resources on their part to get this corrected. They give up trying more frequently. Since they are approved at a lower threshold to legally purchase firearms or have a CCP, they are more likely to be victims of crime in their own neighborhood because they are more vulnerable and live in higher crime-ridden neighborhoods.

One solution would be to grant CCPs to qualified individuals in these communities. Once the street criminals are confronted by more people who can defend themselves, they will move on looking for weaker and easier targets to exploit. Defunding the police will only make things worse in these communities because they do not have the resources to obtain more protection and security from private sources, unlike the elected politicians. And these are the kind of politicians that mostly serve inner-city minorities in blue cities and states

It is really much more complicated than all this and too much to go into in any detail here. But you get the point. Every time the democrats start clamoring for more gun control, sales of guns increase, and of course the media zeroes in to report on every mass shooting, and ignore when a child is killed by gunfire, such as this past weekend in Chicago. A father was severely wounded and his seven-year-old daughter was killed while going through a McDonald's drive-thru on Sunday morning. Did you hear about this on the news? Probably not because it doesn't fit their narrative.
