It was an honest question A-hole!! We work with (sort of) Iranians, and Indians. A puppy wandered into the building we load out of today. This afternoon, my wife wanted to take it home. We couldn't because we had obligations elsewhere, and couldn't leave it in the hot car. One of the Iranian gals seemed really taken with the pup, and said she would see if she could find it a home.
After we left, she hit me on the arm, and asked "What if they eat it?"
Now she feels bad for even thinking that. I know different people eat different stuff. I don't care about that a bit. As I said, it was an honest question. At the moment, my tech challenged ass didn't have the time to do the digging; so I was hoping some of the good OPP folks might have a quick answere. A little quick to judge there Mr. Diversity!!
BTW, If the pup is there, she is riding with Mrs. B. tomorrow, and then coming home with us!

I believe that dogs are considered unclean in Muslim culture, so they would not eat one. I think that in parts of India dogs are considered food. Of course if you are starving you will eat dog, or rat or what ever else you can catch.

I'll only eat a dog if it's a hot one. I also like to eat a fried brat from time to time. Ever chewed on a wiener?

I accept that title and I thank you for not using the term with the opposite prefix.

I do not accept being branded evil. And I don't believe that my appetite for Chihuahuas is indicative of evil intent.

I also have an appetite for Bambi's mother and in fact I shall remove some venison from the freezer to thaw in preparation for tomorrow's menu.

Chihuahua has a distinctly similar taste to venison when properly prepared.

I have a hybrid wolf and a Siberian husky and they both also enjoy smoked chihuahua as well as pit bull and venison.

At my household, we have learned to survive in this dog eat dog society.

Muslims do not travel with dogs in the same conveyance either. That is why the Obama dogs travel separately from them.

how hungry are you? lots of people eat dog or horse it was only outlawed in the U.S. because so many people raise them as pets, before that some were still eating both when I was a youngster my dad brought home some meat that he said was horse and it taste different than the beef and pork we raised so I don't know and not in a position to ask him now, when I was in the PI a neighbor gave me a plate with meat and rice but wouldn't tell me what it was til after I had eaten it the only thing I found wrong with it is it was boiled

Very good chance it was dog in the PI, beef is expensive. They sold it on the street as meat on a stick. As I think back I don't remember any loose dogs.

There is an amusing story (to me anyway) behind this question. I honestly don't know, or care. I'm just wondering.

Remember when Obama was running against Romney there were storys about Obama eating dogs.

You're just being a dick. If you read a one page article on Islam, you would know that Muslims follow hallal law. It's the equivalent of Jewish halachic law, which only allows the eating of certain meats. Dog (and pig) are on neither or those lists, shmuck.

You really don't know what a search bar is do you???

Hey Brian - I'm usually aligned with your political views and not Archie's, but I have to say in this case I think you've mis-stepped on the manners front. No need to reply with invective and call him a dick. I think we'd all learn more from just sharing information. My guess is there's nothing in Archie's experience that would have given him an understanding of halal rules. Yeah, Archie can be annoying, but I think he was just looking for information here. (Did I just defend a right-winger's right to engage in intelligent repartee? Yikes!)

I have decided to tone down my street references to private parts and bodily functions.

I was raised by a father who taught me that the real obscenities in this world are killing, degrading, and exploiting....not the street language petaining to bodily parts and functions.

George Carlin, Lenny Bruce, and Bill Maher hold this philosophy, (as does all of my family). I greatly admire all three of these men, and of course, my father...who I deeply miss.

I realize a lot of conservatives are not capable, because of their religious upbringings, of wrapping their brains around that one....so I have pulled back.

I agree that violence is vastly more obscene than ill-tempered language, and Sarah Silverman is one of may favorite potty-mouthed commentators on the current nonsense of our society. Unfortunately what plays well in stand-up TV comedy with a laugh track is harder to execute in a bulletin board format. Keep honing your intelligent dialogue; I like it!

What strange, complete and utter nonsense! If I found 3 articles that said eating enormous amounts of yogurt would make one invisible would you believe it? Use your noggin', folks.
