To ask for photo ID when you're about to vote in the United States ?
Well, if you've registered to vote and you have a current voter's registration what's the point--to catch people who broke into someone's house so that they can vote at them? How often has that happened...ever???

The point is you need picture ID for just about anything , why not for something as important as picking your next President / politician?

PS, you are splitting hairs. Your people demand no ID, not even voter registration. Either deal with the facts or have nothing to say.
