From the CDC: We do not yet know what causes MIS-C. However, we know that many children with MIS-C had the virus that causes COVID-19, or had been around someone with COVID-19. Like we all haven't been around others with covid. Was there MIS-C prior to Covid. Of course there was.

Despite negative testing for Covid, they are classifying this as a Covid death, apparently.
