People were much more superstitious before there was explanations for what they did not understand. Adam and Eve just popping into existence. No history of the would millions of years previously. Humans have lived in Australia for over 40,000 years. Superstitions exist because of a lack of knowledge. Superstitions persist because we are tribal and need to fit in

Agree with tribal take..... but what are you referring to with comments about God and superstition..... GOD is not a superstition....

Fortunately I live in a time when I can say out loud that god, the pearly gates, satan, etc. are all superstitions.

I do believe there is a higher power. Intelligent design is possible. Adam and Eve popping into existence 6000 years ago and populating the earth is not

I am agnostic. The only thing I am absolutely positive of spiritually is that I am not privy to the truth.

I am old and do not have much time left in this lifetime but I do believe that my existence continues

There is sound logic for reincarnation. There is evidence that references to reincarnation were removed from the Bible hundreds of years ago

I do have faith in higher power but I do not pretend to know what that is, just that I am a part of it.

So no, I will not be surprised. I will be disappointed if there are no learning opportunities in heaven though

My take as I have been on a spiritual quest since early 90s.....Definitely a GOD, just not the sky God of the Bible..... the early church people did a great job of messing up Jesus’ message. Also removed 47 books from Bible in 423 AD .... as they were deemed only fit the priests. I dig down on what I read.... never listen to one opinion ..... very interesting.... suggest you get deeper into it..... can’t hurt.... let me know if you want any recommendations or want to discuss.... beats taking cheap shots at each other....
P. S. When we die we are at the same level we achieved on earth.... same consciousness.... no morphing into happy little campers.....Good to hear your thoughts....

Drl, Agree.... Though Trump could be like a bull in a China shop ..... can’t fault his results.... he made things happen.... they had to go over the
top .... lie, cheat and steal an election to stop him.... and I am sure he isn’t done yet! Just some thoughts.
