All our heroes

All our men and women in uniform that never came home, who are still under orders, beneath the seas and oceans, vast deserts, impenetrable jungles, mountain valley's, fields and pastures - they are our immortal Heroes.

Our men and women in uniform that served, that didn't make it back alive - they are our immortal Heroes.

Our men and women who served, didn't come back in one piece, and who were then all but forgotten - they are our Heroes.

Our men and women that served, carrying scares visible and invisible, who were then discarded like spent cartridges - they are our Heroes.

Those that served, having been all but forgotten, who lost their will to live - they are our Heroes.

Those who serve, knowing that they may be called to make the supreme sacrifice, and/or end up on a previous list - they are our Heroes.

Those yet to serve, but who will answer the call, - they are our Heroes-yet-to-be.

If our Heroes were to return, to see what their sacrifices have wrought, would they be proud of what we've become....................................................or.......................ashamed?

Proud of our accomplishments both here in America and abroad as we fought for freedom and self determination of peoples around the world. Ashamed of our failures and erosion of liberties at home and attacks on our Constitution and disrespect for our borders and anthem and pledge of allegiance and flag.

Logically Right and a Veteran.
