For goodness sakes, don't take my word for it

There were 354,871 abortions performed in the US in 2020. That's a lot right? The numbers of these procedures performed every year has been steadily dropping, which is a good thing. There are other numbers, however, that dwarf the number of abortions........................by nearly 6:1.

In 2020, there were 2,030,000 infant deaths ( from birth through 28 days ), not including those abortion numbers. Most of these deaths were preventable. Adding infant deaths through 365 days and the numbers skyrocket. Why isn't anyone shocked by these numbers? Why isn't anyone demanding that something be done about this slaughter? The fact is, there ARE people upset by this and demanding action - but no one can hear them over the noise made by.........................pro life folks.

I find it puzzling that pro life advocates aren't up in arms by the lack of proper and timely care, that contributes to the deaths of innocent babies at a rate 6 times higher than those lost to abortion. Am I missing something? Could it be that advocating for the end of abortions costs nothing, whereas, correcting the cause of 2,000,000 infant deaths a year would costs millions? I've little doubt that pro life politicians have made that exact calculation, but have their supporters? I wonder if the lack of empathy for newborns is proof that prolifer's are ONLY concerned for the lives of unborn babies, but that would be monstrous if true. Perhaps, it's because non white mothers and infants are many times more likely to be victims, but that would indicate blatant racism.

Perhaps someone here can erase my confusion, by giving a rational explanation as to why 2,000,000 infant deaths a YEAR is no big deal. Abortion numbers are dropping, infant and maternal death rates are climbing at a steady rate. I am not advocating for abortion ( except in the case of incest, rape and the the imminent death of the mother ), as there are viable alternatives that should be encouraged first. I AM, however, advocating for the lives of these millions of infants lost to preventable conditions, deaths that can only be explained by a depraved indifference to such and because we aren't willing to spend a dime on the problem.

As the title of this post indicates, I do NOT want anyone to take my word for these numbers. I implore you to research this yourself, using gov. supplied data ( data collected during trumps tenure ), NOT your favorite echo chambers. If any of you are TRULY pro life....................prove it...................................put your money where your mouth is.

Your assumptions are false. There are numerous crisis pregnancy centers across the country run by conservative Christians and support by churches that assist in helping women obtain the proper prenatal care.

What did I just say? I said RESEARCH this. I didn't make those numbers up, I got them from official government websites, agencies run by trump appointees. BTW, those NGO's you mentioned? They get PRIVATE funding, so my premise stands, despite your lazy attempt to refute it. There were 2,030,000 infant deaths in 2020 - period.

You said pro lifers have no empathy for the newborn and that is a lie. In addition to prenatal care the centers do provide post natal care. The fact they exist by private funding proves they care. How much do you contribute?
