unemployment rate in the nation, our economy is booming.

You forgot to mention that South Dakota is 2'nd in the nation per capita of COVID 19 cases, just under North Dakota. South Dakota is 8th in the nation per capita in deaths from COVID19. That's pretty high for a state with one of the fewest people per square mile. SO you guys live farther apart and catch the virus more that most all other states in the Nation. Don't sound like a model I would like to follow.

You guys are just really slow at catching onto realities, Texas and other states have gone through cycles of being completely overwhelmed with hospitalization and deaths, they are forced to resort to mask mandates and social distancing measures, which turn their situations around, yet even while Texas is doing better, it is still not doing great enough to start relaxing what worked.
Red states have over and over opened back up too soon, had crisis levels of hospitalizations and deaths, and had to lock back down.
How many times does it take for truly ignorant people to get smarter? Texas is not going to succeed, Texas is going to kill too many people unnecessarily, and when they hit yet another Texas created crisis the federal government will be expected to bail them out.
