So do you complain about conservatives who are on welfare, SNAP, SSDI HEAP and the rest of the social programs?
And don't for a minute think that is not the case. I just finished a job in Princeton, WVa.
The only difference between Detroit, Pittsburgh, or Cleveland, is that the population is white, and over-whelmingly conservative.
Let me take just one of those government programs. I chose SSDI because it is the most used by senior citizens.
There are two things you must understand about Social Security (SSDI):
1st. The amount of stipend received for each individual is predicated upon the amount of money which was paid into SSI. Unlike other government give away programs it is not just doled out predicated on how many grandchildren you have in your home..
It is also not given predicated upon the persons position in life.
Obviously. If your income was in the six digit each year your SSI payments and subsequent receipts after reaching the magic age will be higher (much higher) than someone who lived off welfare and paid in little (if any) over their years of work.
2nd. This is where citizens with little knowledge about the SSI program get all confused. Politicians play on their ignorance when they belittle industry and employers.
Here is why. The employer is required to match the SSI payments from each employee.
This means that a mom & pop business with ten employees will have not only paid for their own SSI, but they will have paid for half of each of their employees.
Think it through now. They will not have their own SSI payments valued on how much total payments they sent in, rather only their own payments.
So, before you start jumping all over a successful person who had employees and paid into each and everyone -- about how much the employer earns..... Well just think about it a little bit.
I know it clouds your mind. To even extend that loss to future earnings by the unemployed. So every time you drive by a business with shuttered doors and "GONE OUT OF BUSINESS" signage consider not only the lost wages of the employees, but also think of the loss of SSI credits...
But then you probably voted for Obama and his socialism which caused this long term economic disaster, didn't you?
