Granddaughter & Breakfast...

I was eating breakfast with my 10-year-old granddaughter and ask her what day tomorrow was?

Without skipping a beat she said, "It's President's Day."

She's smart, so I ask her what President's Day Means?

I was waiting for something about Biden, Trump or, Obama, etc.

She replied, "Presidents Day is when he steps out of the White House, and if he sees his shadow, we has another year of B*LLS**T!"

You know it hurts when coffee spurts out your nose!!!

That makes for a good story, but there is a problem with it. Not just trivia. Something a lot of people don't seem to know. There is no day, let alone a National holiday, with that name. The third Monday in February is, has the official name of, Washington's Birthday (Observed). The 22nd is Washington's Birthday (Traditional) but not a National holiday.
I think the story is 'President's Day' is just one of several names that came up in the discussion in what to name that day when folks wanted to make an official Monday holiday in February, but that name was poo-pooed.

Presidents' Day is a federal holiday celebrated on the third Monday in February; Presidents' Day 2021 will occur on Monday, February 15. Originally established in 1885 in recognition of President George Washington, the holiday became popularly known as Presidents' Day after it was moved as part of 1971’s Uniform Monday Holiday Act, an attempt to create more three-day weekends for the nation’s workers. While several states still have individual holidays honoring the birthdays of Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and other figures, Presidents' Day is now popularly viewed as a day to celebrate all U.S. presidents, past and present.

That's funny, I used to get off school on President's Day. You may want to check on that again. I know it was a joke Don, but the sheeple lost their sense of humor when Queen Hildebeast lost.
