What happens if you don’t have what they “need” on hand. Are you supposed to go buy it for them? There are some crazy laws on the books already protecting intruders. Years ago in the 70’s, I had two German Shepards that got hold of a burglar as he was coming in a window in the bedroom. When the police came, they told me the sheriff’s department would be back the next morning to take my dogs to be euthanized for rabies test. They ran away during the night.
The thief sued me while he was still in the hospital. He already had 4 convictions for burglary. When the dogs attacked him, they broke the whole window frame out & knocked him back outside the house.
His lawyer was using a precedent case in NC where a homeowner rigged a shotgun after his home had been robbed 3 times. The burglar sued & won because the blast knocked back outside the window even after he admitted he had robbed the house the 3 times before.
