You would think you would properly punctuate such a question. Before you hurry up and do so, keep in mind your original post will remain incorrect in my reply.

Excuse me: I am a Democrat and an editor/reviewer. There are just as many Republicans as Democrats on this site who appear not to have passed basic grammar in middle school.

Um, you forgot the Independents and fence-post sitters! We sometimes post in the wee hours of the morning when our brains are not properly directing our fingers.

Oh, wait! Quoting John Dunham's Achmed, the Dead Terrorist, "Wait for it;" I forgot to turn on Grammarly.

Which is one of those things which makes me sigh at my authors! Spellcheck and Grammarly: the basics are FREE! PLEASE use them!

Because they are the most uneducated POS's on the Planet Case in point, take Lonewus for instance. Can't spell words like "piece, where, trust just for starters. They are of LOW intellect. And worst of al, they want you to their advice, criticism with the utmost respect. What a joke. They have had no education and they come on strong like the "gurus of politics....when they don't know jack. IQ tests would show well below 80 is my bet. F...ing know it alls, is the bottom line.

You are biased as the day is long. You have guys on here who can't spell one syllable words...or haven't you been paying attention. Maybe the editor/reviewer was a little "above your pay grade".

Have you ever considered that those posting here have the right to put their views forth despite a lack of education or developed writing skills?

When one calls them out on spelling or grammar mistakes, the "editor" demonstrates a lack of tolerance and dismisses the original writer's point.

When posting using "Quote Reply," the respondent can correct the grammar--no harm, no foul.

But grammar mistakes can completely change the meaning.

Woman: Without her, man is nothing.

Woman, without her man, is nothing.

True, but it does show a level of ignorance. Sure, they are entitled to their opinion. Would you take the opinion of a 3rd grader over someone who just received their doctorate? In most cases, I doubt it. When an individual spells "where" with "ware", you begin to wonder what kind of education they have. Entitled to an opinion? Of course. Will it be scrutinized? Only common sense will tell you the right answer. You can stick up for the dummies on OPP, do I have to respect their opinion because of their low level of education? Well, you figure it out BTW, most of them just repeat talking points. they don't have any original thoughts that all of a sudden they came up with. Lonely is a perfect examine. He hasn't had an original thought since he's been on OPP.

This is a place for the quick casual exchange of ideas and opinion. The “schoolmarms” that piss and moan about spelling, punctuation and grammar errors almost also do so in lieu of an intelligent or honest response to the idea or fact presented. We are not presenting Doctoral dissertations for peer review, just a quick exchange of ideas. If you are confused by a post why not simply ask for clarification?

Why not just use correct grammar in the first place?
