It has to do with the concentration of virus in the air and your proximity to others. This is why distancing and masks reduce exposure, outside instead of inside is better but not perfect. Air exchange reduces risk, enclosed space makes it worse. Think of it this way if you put a plastic bag in an ash tray and burn it in your bathroom with the windows closed and no fan it will choke you out, it becomes more tenable with ventilation even more so in a bigger space or outside. If you wear a mask even better. There are detailed studies on this if you are interested research it it will keep you and your family safer.

In the Chicago Tribune today there was a story of Alderman Tunney, Restaurant owner, who was serving food indoors in his restaurant, against the Governors and Mayors rules, Add that to the list of officials that say, 'screw you, we can and you can't.'

Yes you can. If a breeze is blowing in your direction, droplets of infected fluid may blow into, or on, your face. Droplets of infected fluids can remain airborne for a long time, more so indoors than out to be sure, yet even outdoors such can persist for hours.
