Some Mistakes and Presumptions in Scripture
By Joel Joseph
Researched by Pastor Gary Boyd
Conclusion by Pastor Boyd
23rd October 2020

My job is not just to go with the flow. It is to help, inspire and lead us into all truth. That involves identifying error.
My job is to stick a sword in your heart (sometimes) and make you feel good about it.
In these days, doctrinal error is a pandemic. It need not be so for you. Our God is not a God of confusion. Satan is!
There are doctrinal errors that are not of importance. Others can rock your faith!
Some are a real game changer, when you see the truth in them!
Here are a few end-time errors doing the rounds today. Some are important and some not so:
●Without the centrality of the cross you can get by: No you can’t. This is the single biggest error ever, which will send you on a roller-coaster to hell. Without it and its personal application, in daily cross-bearing, you will be left powerless and under the deception of your own power of self and human reasoning.
●The absence of the baptism in the Spirit will get you by: It will get you by as a failure. The failure to use the gifts and the armour of God is an error that will see you deceived and defeated in these days – for sure!
●Mistake = “The great apostasy”: The term is not in the Bible! (2 Thessalonians 2:3) “The falling away,” correctly interpreted means the departure, or removal of the church in rapture. Some other verses do speak of deteriorating faith amongst certain churches.
●Mistake= “No one knows the day or hour” of the rapture: The term is not in the Bible! (Matthew 24:36) “Of this day and hour, no one knows,” is the correct term. If you read all the surrounding verses, they refer to the condition in the tribulation period. In context, it has nothing at all to do with the rapture – go and read the chapter, not just the verse.
●Mistake= The rapture is imminent; it could happen anytime as there are no signs for it: This is wrong. There are numerous signs of the tribulation period and the dispensation change from the church age to the final seven years. A pre-tribulation rapture therefore has all of those signs as well.
If the rapture / tribulation start does not occur on a feast of trumpets, it would leave that feast unfulfilled and the remaining ones out of sync. That alone is a huge weight of evidence. The pattern of exact, to the day, literal fulfilment of the prophetic aspect of the feasts is clearly revealed in the fulfilments of the previous five feasts.
●Mistake= “The days of the tribulation will be shortened”: (Matthew 24:22) No they will not be shortened. The word usage means that the days of the tribulation period are cut out in time. The seven year period is the cut-out period. It does not mean actual days will not be 24 hours anymore. (Numerous commentaries support this)
●Mistake= “End-time knowledge shall increase: (Daniel 12:4) this, quite simply means that knowledge of these particular end-time events will increase as they near. General knowledge of all sorts, expanding over time, is no sign at all. It is obvious.
●Mistake= “The antichrist will confirm an existing peace treaty / covenant: (Daniel 9:27) so, what covenant would that be? There is no existing seven-year covenant, which identifies the antichrist, which involves the rebuilt temple, or fits the requirements of Daniel 9:27 and others.
The word means to make a “strong covenant.” The Amplified Bible has it right – read it.
●Mistake= The Abrahamic Accords are the Daniel 9:27 peace treaty, because they use the term, “peace and safety.” That is pure short-sighted hogwash, presented largely by the always wrong brigade. (I have much more, shocking and very surprising things to share on this. I just need to find a place to fit it in.)
●Mistake= The cause of end-time judgements: There is a great variety of opinions here, some are most reasonable, some are not, and some are plainly insane. The general consensus among the mature, long standing pastors and teachers, which I fully concur with, is that the reasons are that “light” and “salt” (the church) has gone dim relating to the worldwide pandemic of abortion, homosexuality and other sins of rebellion to the word of God.
The insane presumption is that God has brought all the world troubles, like the corona virus on the world, because Trump divided Israel. Trump has not divided Israel, the “Deal of the Century” has not been ratified and is null and void.
To say that God brought the virus and other judgments on the world because Trump divided Israel is to play right into the hands of the devil and make a mockery of God. It is misdirection away from the real causes.
●Mistake= “The blood will run to the horses bridles for 1600 stadia (1 stadia =630 ft. The length is 1,008,000 ft.) (Revelation 14:20) This does not mean that the blood will run that deeply during the wrath of God. It is physically impossible for blood to run that far and deep.
The verse likens the situation to a horse trampling the grapes under a tribulum (wine press), which gets splattered with grape juice up to the horse's bridles. (Isaiah 63:2, Revelation 19:13)
●Mistake= End-time signs are for the church: This is a widespread and deeply entrenched error. The truth is that end-time signs are primarily for Israel, and the unbeliever, and occur within Israel’s divided dispensation (Old Covenant and seven-year tribulation.) True signs are supernatural events. The church is not to be led by signs! We are led by the Spirit of God. If it’s a true supernatural sign, it will influence and draw people in to be saved. If it’s a lying sign it will wreck the faith of many, when discovered as a lie. (The classic was the Revelation 12-sign – lie, which wrecked the faith of many when it failed.)
Bear in mind that biblical truth roars. It bites and devours as it confronts. It also comforts and edifies, when you’re on the right side. The Jewish Lion and the Lamb is the essence of truth! It is not to be taken lightly, trivialised or changed. Truth is the Lamb and the Lion, not the Catholic ham and bunny.

If you are out in the wild African bush, there is a continuous symphony and chorus of nature's beautiful sounds. When a nearby lion begins to roar, all else falls silent. I have observed that personally many times – it’s incredible. When the King speaks even the air reverberates and others shut up.
Today we are not seeing very much talk or teaching on the growing proliferation of demonic activity. This sets up many for defeat.
These are the days in which you need to be full on spiritual warfare. (Recommended reading below)The message of the word to the world must be alive with the Spirit of God, and when rightly applied it will convict, rebuke, alarm you, disturb you, and pull the carpet out from under you.
Soon coming judgement could be the day of your greatest rejoicing ever, or the beginning of your eternal regret. It will be one or the other, you can bank on that and you will not wiggle out of it.
The prophetic word is a navigator in troubled times. But today the prophetic word is being assaulted from without and within.
a† Shalom...Joel.

Conclusion by Pastor Gary Boyd

There is knowledge you should have to fight the wiles of the devil. Trusted pastor and bestselling author Dr. David Jeremiah brings clarity to the complex topic of spiritual warfare. From his years of teaching on this subject, Pastor Jeremiah has selected answers to your pertinent questions concerning victory in the spiritual realm.

The Bible says God will ultimately be victorious and win the spiritual war. But it also says He has given every Christian promises and power to win our daily spiritual battles. The book includes 86 questions with answers such as: How does Satan imitate God? Are demons real? What protection does the shield of faith provide? How can I defend myself against a hostile world? How do I “put on the armor of” Christ? It can be ordered on Amazon.
