I got this from a friend I served in the Navy with who writes poetry. I thought this one was quite funny. I'm printing it here for your enjoyment with his permission. He told me he writes 3 - 4 a day.
Enlightenment
I have achieved enlightenment
I oft converse with gods
I've reached the peak of constant bliss
Against tremendous odds
I know that what is, is
And what isn't never was
Ask me any question
And I'll answer "just because"
I walk barefoot on lofty pathways
And know no earthly woes
Til I look down with an earthly frown
And see dogshit between my toes
